I would just keep putting the puppy back in when it gets out. The puppy should also know how to walk on a lead for exercise, but if going anywhere with alot of people I would put the pup in a stroller or carry it. A small dog can easily get stepped on by a person if they are in a crowded place and not easily seen. I walk my Chihuhua, but if I go somewhere I know there will be a crowd I put him in his little dog carrier. That way he can not get stepped on and hurt. A small dog can easily get broken bones if stepped on or kicked. I would suggest using the stroller for protection. You may also want to try a special treat you can give your dog just at stroller time, maybe some kind of bone or toy to occupy the pup until it is better adjusted to the stroller. Good Luck.

Stroller train? Dear God do you mean you want to stick your puppy in a stroller and walk him/her around like a baby? That's horrible. Train him/her to walk on a leash otherwise your dog will never get enough exercise and will end up with some major health problems.

Please don't - dogs need the socialization & exercise of walking on their own on a leash.

This is not a human baby, or a toy. If you treat it this way, you will end up with a neurotic mess you can't live with happily. Plus, Pugs are prone to obesity - it needs the exercise.

Dogs that are carried around like accessories rather than walked like normal dogs end up with major health issues. Leash train your puppy, he can keep up.
