I have absolutely no idea. I provide water to my 3 dogs in a 30 gal. rubber tub.

I have 3 mutts, one is part Lab, another is part Chow (they are brothers, so that means that the dads were fence jumper or mama was a whore) and the other a good lookin' German Sheppard. I know they drink a lot of water but I have never measured that.

I have a 45 lb dog (mixed whippet/pitbull) and she drinks about 8 cups of water a day... on average. Some days she will drink less. Also, she will eat snow now, so who knows! Also, exercise will make her drink more.

I have a Lhapsa Apso who is about 17 pounds and I am unsure of how much he drinks because his water bowl is left on the floor for him whenever he is thirsty. I also change the water 3 times a day because I am neurotic when it comes to my cute little puffy guy!!
