A feminine name, because it ends in "a."

A girl dog's name. We had a long line of Sheba's when I was small - everyone of them a girl. The a at the end of the name makes it seem female in any case.

Peace!

Sheba is a place name, as far as I know.
@ GreatDane - yeah, I thought that too, but "Queen of Sheba" is saying a female in lead of the PLACE Sheba. There's a King of Sheba, too!

Ahh I just researched. It's also a MALE name:
Sheba
Gender: Masculine
Usage: Biblical
Pronounced: SHEE-ba
Means "oath" in Hebrew. This is the name of several characters in the Old Testament. Also in the Bible this is a place name, referring to a region in Ethiopia. The queen of Sheba visited Solomon after hearing of his wisdom

It's either.

The girl's name Sheba \sh(e)-ba\ is pronounced SHEE-bah. It is of Hebrew origin, and its meaning is "promise". Nickname of Bathsheba.

Masc.: Sheba is the name of a kingdom in southern Arabia noted for its great wealth.

Variations are: Saba, Sabah, Scheba, Shebah, Sheeba and Shieba.

It's a girls name, and a nickname for "Bathsheba".
It is NOT a girls name because of a "Queen of Sheba".
Sheba is a nation mentioned in jewish scriptures... probably referring to Ethiopia or somewhere around there.

I think it's meant to be female (The Queen of Sheba), but I'm sure you could use it for a male dog if you wanted to

There is a breed of dog from Japan called Shiba Inu... (Shiba means small).
It is a relitive of the Akita (means large).

I think most will think Sheba is a girl name because it has SHE in it.
