I have two dogs:

One full bred Beagle
and
One mixed-Beagle

About every week or so, my full bred Beagle produces this stinky, nasty, fishy smell. It comes from his bottom, and we have to go right in and wipe his bottom with a baby wipe and disinfect whatever he was sitting on, or wherever he was. My other mixed Beagle does the same, but it is not nearly as strong.

So, what can I do to stop this smell. Is it his diet? Does this happen to all dogs?

My 16 week old puppy has suffered motion sickness on the last to trips out in the car. He sits in the boot of my estate car.
I have been told that there may be several reasons for the sickness...and that he may grow out of it as he matures..?
Any advice from some experts would be great...please.

I have an older (i think 13 yrs old) poodle/shitzu mix, that i got 2 yrs ago to save from being put in the pound. I am going Monday to pick up a new puppy. My poodle/shitzu gets along great with bigger dogs and cats, but i'm worried she will hate the new one. How can i help her adjust without yelling or having to punish her when the new one gets here?

They are 4 weeks old and they smell. I'd like to give them a bath before owners come and get them at 6 weeks, but I would give them one now too if I knew it wouldn't hurt them because they are smelly!

My neutered dog will sometimes try to hump guests. There are two people that my dog will always try to hump. The other people, he only tries to hump if they are playing with him a lot or if they are being really noisy.

I'm very good at knowing when my dog is about to hump, so I call him over to me and have him sit before he even starts. Is this the best I can hope for?

Sorry kinda long.......
i am reserching alot of dog breeds to find one that will make the best companion for me and my family=) . My family just got my cousins cottage and since there are animals on her large "Forest" property we actually need a bigger dog to protect us in an emergancy. My mother (i am still in high school) wants a dog that is not too big which means no bermease mountain dogs ect=( We have 2 cats so it can't be a malamute or siberian husky cuz they might kill them and not a lab or golden retriever because they would lick the "killer" to death(no not literally). I found out a finnish spitz might work and i want to know if any one knows things anout them, first hand or research.

Sorry the question is long thanks for the help

I was just curious about what types of food everyone feeds there dogs. Alot of the cheaper foods, have awful ingredients that can damage your dog's health. Anyway, I feed ProPlan Selects to my Chihuahua.

We brought a new puppy home (a Lhasa Poo). We thought we had found a puppy that my wife wouldn't be allergic to. It has been in the home for a week now, and my wife is having allergic asthma attacks and getting worse. It has become apparent that my wife and the dog can't live together. What do we do to find the puppy a new home?

I have a 8-year old yellow lab who normally gets his dinner around 7pm - with the days being shorter in the winter it now gets dark around 5 and he starts acting out - running to his food dish repeatedly and then starts barking at us if we don't pay attention.

I don't want to give into this behavior but at some point my upstairs neighbors are going to complain.

Any ideas?

Chocolate labrador has two 6 week old puppies. She mated with a large, quite long haired german shepherd. The puppies are black, quite fluffy and very adorable. The lab had an easy birth and dotes on her babies. I know of good homes for them both but have been asked what will they look like when fully grown. Does anyone know of any dogs that are crossed with lab and german shepherd..
