You should check it out with a vet first, because you dont want to waste money treating mites if it is a yeast infection or something else. The vet can properly diagnose and medicate your dog to treat whatever it has. DO NOT put a qtip in the ear unless you have proper vet training. Their ear is a "L" shape and qtips can cause major problems to the dog if not properly used. The vet will probably use one to collect a sample to see what is wrong (if they dont see mites) but they are properly trained to use the qtips in the dogs ear and wont go too far or have the qtip break off. Please check with a vet before using anything in your dogs ears so you dont make the problem worse.

do NOT listen to no n I was told by my vet that a dogs ear canel is shallow and if you put a q-tip in there it will rupture the ear drum! First call your vet and see what they want to do, you will be told either bring you baby in or they will tell you where you can find effective medicine. I don't know what size your pet is but mine specializes in small animals.

I've actually used olive oil in my dog's ears drip it in and rub the oil in and then take a wash rag and clean out the ears

Yeah my puppy got Ear mites before and my aunt came over and put babyoil in my puppy's ear and it worked.....Well i hope i was some help

clean the ears out with a q tip but dont go too far in. if you keep them clean they will eventually go away
