I know i sound like a loser, but i want to put a fake bulletproof vest on my 100lb black lab. I would put a real one on but they are too expensive, heavy and maybe hot for my pup. I have searched everywhere and am still empty handed. I was thinking about making one but i would just prefer to buy one. It would be awesome if it said SECURITY on the side of it too. Any help greatlly appreciated.

My shepard's ears just get really dirty and kind of crusty along the outer rim's of his ear. I've asked my vet but he didn't have the answers.

Jawsie is a 10 year old collie/chow mix, super friendly. Loves going bye-bye, owns 2 cats, very very social. She has always been super attached to my husband. She has all her medical stuff and grooming done and is played with and exercised regularly.

Recently she has begin to climb up on my lap frequently (she's 70 pounds). She just wants to cuddle but acts like she is sad. She has never been a bed sleeper, but lately wants to climb on the bed and stay real close. She also will stand in front of me to try to make eye contact, turning her head side to side and looking so sad. Right now she is up tight against my feet while I am on the computer.

Any dog whisperers out there? Seriously, what is up with my old dog?

I know some people who feed their dogs dry almost exclusively.

Dry food is processed and man made (which is a big worry).

I have read in some alternative publications that there is too much protein which is incomplete and indigestible and that high calcium is a problem.
It has also been suggested that despite the claims that it is a teeth cleaner tartar still forms on dog's teeth from using it.

High amounts of cheap grain are also added which is not a natural part of a dog's diet according to some.

So is the truth out there somewhere?

I have a 3 yr old, 8lb Chihuahua. His bevhavioral issues range from pulling the leash to attacking people and actually drawing blood. It's like something triggers in his brain and he just freaks out, won't listen to me at all, he goes into this pyschotic state of mind. But he can also be really normal at times so I just don't know how to handle him, he gives me anxiety and makes a simple walk dreadful. Any suggestions or recommendations are appreciated!

I was going through people's questions and came across one that bothered me just a little. It was asked if a whole breed should be distroyed and many people said yes.

My answer to this is how can you judge a whole species in away to get rid of them all?

With this logic mankind should be destroyed as well.

Mankind hurts more people and other things than anything else.

Compare how many children are hurt by the hand of man and how many children are hurt by not only pitbulls but all dogs.

I bet even if you add all dogs with cases of violet towards children and others the dogs will win!

So how can a species that is so much more violet than another say anything about destroying that animal completely?

I have a 2 month old puppy that previously listened to me, would respond to things such as "sit" "come here" "lay down" and she is already housetrained. I have assumed the dominant position well. However, the past few days she has completely ignored me. I talk to her but she'll look and walk away. She wants nothing to do with me, and when I try to correct her behavior she starts growling and becomes almost vicious. What is happening here?

Is she blaming me for a recent vet visit? Is she just showing her colors as a dog that will be hard to manage? Should I give up and find her a new home before she gets too old to find one?

We recently acquired a new puppy and we are debating about making this animal an indoor/outdoor pet so I can take it to work with me. How often can/should the puppy be bathed and what type of shampoo should/can be used?

her at all the time and she has been been bit several times, she still goes up into their faces all the time & just sits there. We pull her away she goes right back to the them. They just growl louder. The other dogs are a 2 yr golden & a newfoundland. Very genltle dogs. How do I train her and/or why does she do this? I have had other goldens in the past, never had this happen before.

My dog typically has thin belly fur, but recently I've noticed that it's so thin I can pretty much see his skin.

My dog is a bit lazy and loves to lie around on the carpet all day. I play with him, but he is most happy just rolling around the carpet and napping. Could laying down all day be a cause for why there is barely any fur on his belly?

The coat on the other areas of his body are fine and he doesn't seem to have any health problems.

We're going through 35lbs of food a week with 3 large dogs, and weekly trips to buy food are getting ridiculous. Does anybody order their food in bulk, and if so is it possible to receive some kind of discount through certain companies?

I received a very abused and neglect puppy on Christmas and decided to take it in. It is 4 months and is really spunky.. He stays in the bathrom at night so that he wont jump on my toddler while she is sleeping, and he wont go in the bathroom but as soon as i open the bathroom door he runs onto the carpet and goes.. I take him out every hour a night... He usually goes.. I was told that he was a wolf hybred, but also told that there was no way that is had no features of it and was a husky lab. Any suggestions?
