I have a white chihuaha and he's 4 1/2 months old, is it a good idea if I introduce a new puppy member to the family?

Well seeing as he is this young you probaly want to do it now because if you wait any longer they probaly won't get along we have a 12 yr. old maltese and we just got a puppy it is a boxer and they don't get along well and I think the reason is because the maltese is older and it is not very playful so they get into fights. If you want to try to get a new puppy make sure that you see it's parents first because like if their parents where blind or deaf the puppy would be too and some places they won't even tell you that.Make sure since you have a chihuaha that you get a dog that won't get very big or else they won't get along cuz the bigger one will play too ruff.If you have any questions about this or just need someone to talk to email me @ either christmasbaby992000@yahoo.com or adventuregirl199@yahoo.com and i do have im

I had a 3 month old mini dachshund and decided to get another one to keep her company. At first I was worried they might not get along and Lucy (my older dog) was actually kinda mean in the begining. So we had to watch them at all times the first and second day (Do it on a weekend so you have time to spend with them) but by Monday they were best friends and Lucy even let her nap in her crate with her. Now Lola follows Lucy more than she follows us it is very cute! Good luck!

Yes it is a very good idea. This way they can get used to each other while they are still at a young age. If they do start to fight (very unlikely) pull them apart.
