Dogs usually shed almost all the time however, they shed their winter coat in the summer and then their summer coat in the winter.

It's not the food, it's the amount of light the receive. Dogs shedding cycles increase and decrease in response to the length of the day and changes in temperature. If you allow your dog time outside near sun up and sun down, they will shed less in the winter but will grow a thicker winter coat which they will shed in spring. If your dog really doesn't need a winter coat, you don't need to do this. You can reduce the shedding by brushing regularly and bathing it once a week. Good luck to you!

Strange, I also have 2 pits who aren't shedding in the slightest. Not that they really ever do.
Has your home been warmer than usual or has spring started early where you live? If so, maybe that's the reason. Either way, make sure you keep them plenty warm and give them lots of kisses:)
