How long does it take for her to start showing she's pregnant, and around what day will she have the puppies?

The gestation period for dogs is an average of 63 days.
When she will show depends on the breed, the individual dog and how many puppies she has.

If you breed your dog Dec 15th then she should have her puppies around Feb. 16, 2007. Give or take a few days. As for her to start showing that depends on the dog. My one dog didn't show until a week before she had them.. Good luck to you.

The gestation is 63 days. She will probably start showing a week before she is due, but it depends on how many puppies are in there and the anatomy of the mother. You can take her to the vet and have her x-rayed after her 45th day to confirm a pregnancy and give you a pretty good idea of how many puppies are in there.

She should have her babies around (approx.) February 18th. Give a day or two. The babies are usually carried about 63 days. Depending on the dog and how many babies she is carrying,but my Doberman Pinscher was showing at about 5-6 weeks into pregnancy. Good luck.

If you think that your girl is going to become a mommy herself, take her to the vet for the following reasons:
1) to make sure that she IS pregnant
2) to find out the approximate due date
3) to get her onto dog prenatal vitamins
4) to find out exactly how to care for her (what to feed her etc.) during the pregnancy IF she is expecting
The vet can do an ultra-sound to see how she and the pups are coming along and give you an idea of how big the litter will be.

More importantly, if your dog is pregnant you should take her to the vet for a checkup! Pregnant dogs are expensive!

you count forward 64 days and that is pretty dog gone close to delivery date.count from December15th.
