I really hope this is a joke. This is not something that can be treated at home. Take your dog to the vet now or give it away to someone who has the money to care for it. Ask your vet or the animal shelter about payment plans or "good sam" funds. Whatever you do, it has to be seen by vet TODAY. (By the way, once the bone sets in the wrong place because nobody took it to the vet it's much more expensive to treat).

If you can't afford the vet bill and the vet won't do it free gratis, get someone to put the dog out of it's misery. It may seem cruel, but it's really the best thing. The last time I had to have a dog put down, it only cost $10.

I have money saved up in cases of an emergency for my dog. If that money is used then I would borrow money from my boyfriend. I could never imagined not taking my dog in case of an emergency.

If I had a broken bone then I would go to the ERl; therefore, I would do the same for my dog. My mom already thinks i'm a nutcase because I took my dog to the ER for a sprain and to the vet for X-rays for her arthritis. To me that's necessary.

You can borrow the money from someone. If not that, then some vets accept payment plans. If not that, then you may want to consider euthanizing your dog.....if you don't do that, you're poor dog will suffer until the leg is fixed. Best of luck to you.

Get the dog to the vet ASAP. Try to make payments at the vet,if you have a regular vet I'm sure they will do this for the dog. If not, borrow the $$$$$$!!!!

Can pay for vet visit? Why in the world would you want a pet to begin with if you can't provide it proper care? Did you think the dog would never need a vet visit or something? O_o

Drop your dog off at a no-kill shelter...it'll receive the care it urgently needs and you both would be better off without each other.

Next time you want a pet, please consider a stuffed animal instead.

Call your vet he is not going to let the dog suffer. They will work out payment plan. Offer anything post dated checks in amount you can afford everyweek. borrow the money, sell something. Things come up and most vets understand this. If one don't do it call another one. Call your spca, and see if they have a vet who will work with you. Good luck

You either borrow the money to get that leg fixed or bring it to the humane society and get it euthanized. Don't let the dog suffer cause you can't afford a vet. Find away to get her/him there before somebody calls the SPCA for animal cruelity.

You give the dog to someone who can afford to give it the medical care it needs. The dog shouldn't have to suffer just because you "can't pay for a vet".

Setting a leg bone is not beginner stuff. You need to get the bone back in it's proper position and stabilize it. You will have a problem stabilizing it for a couple reasons. First, you can't tell a dog to stay off the stupid thing. Second, leg bones are attached to powerful muscles that will try to de-stabilize the joint. See a professional please. They often need to set dog legs using pins, and I am sure that is way beyond do-it-yourself scope.

A bullet is much cheaper of course. Up to you.
