If you are looking at her for a bit you will see that puppies usually get a look on their face and body motion and indicates that want to "poop". When you see this simply pick her up and quickly set her down on the pad. Training takes time and patience. The only other solution if you don't have time to watch her is to lock her off to the laundry room alone for the house and lay paper down throughout the entire room and bit by bit (every week or so) remove paper she should get use to going on the paper.
Dogs also tend to go where they went before as there is a smell left behind so properly cleaning the previous spots she pooped at will help out also.

There are some good answers here and some bad ones. I just want to tell you something that will make you feel better.......My pups are trained to the pee pee pads. One of them starts out with his butt on the pad BUT as he is squatting he starts walking as he is pooping.........See, it could be worse. I run and place him back on the pad and he starts all over again. It is something he can't help.

Don't ever rub your dog's nose in anything. That is barbaric and abusive.

My Jack Russell was doing that too. I took the vet's advice and got rid of the potty pads. She said that a puppy can usually hold it for as many hours as it is months old. We just take her out every couple of hours and she goes outside now. Since we started this, she's only had a couple accidents.

I had the same problem with my puppy.......after she poops off the pad, pick it up and put it ON the pad....this will show her it's "ok" to go there for this too!
Good Luck

Take away the weee wee pads and put her in a crate. She will not go to the bathroom where she sleeps. If you have a house then put the wee wee pads out somewhere in your yard where you want her to go.
Maybe it is a bit more difficult for you and you live in a big city apartment. I would still suggest crate/kennel training. Put her in her kennel when you can't watch her. Shortly after she eats take her outside for a walk. When she goes outside give her lots of praise. If she makes a mistake and goes inside scold her- at 6 months she should be scolded for going inside tell her poddy outside.

if he poops off the pad then take the poop and put
it on the pad or outside and then say "Good Boy"
but don't give him a treat.

we got that info from our trainer.

my daughter has a 4 month old male Chihuahua and he does this too..i am not sure why, you'd think they'd want to do both in the same area. she's tried everything and thinks maybe its just a maturity issue and he'll grow out of it. i've actually heard you can train small dogs to use a litter box...but i would be concerned about the scoopable litter and the way it binds, dogs will eat anything and it could hurt a small dog

Dip her nose in the poop, and then take her to the pad and put her face in the pad. See if that works. Really works too, didn't believe it myself.
