Is there any way to determine his adult weight?

You know what I caught the dog doing? He is a mini dachshund so he is the same size as the 2 cats. He thinks hes a cat too. Anyways, he has this cute thing he does to sucker everyone for their food- he sits straight up like people on his hind legs and he stays this way until you give him a bite. I have to keep the cats food on a table to keep him out of it, and I caught him doing this to the cat when he was eating! Like the cat was going toss him down some food! LOL

Ok, sure she barks too much and occasionally has an accident on the floor. But she's the most cuddly, loyal, faithful, and sweet companion. If I have a bad day, and everyone hates me...she assures me at the end of the day that I'm the most perfect owner ever! If anything happened to her, I'd....I don't know what I'd do. No dog could possibly replace her.

My dog wont stop jumping on EVERYONE and she isnt listening to me screaming OFF when she tackles me when I come in the house. This is getting worse since she has been left behind at home while everyone is at work/school. She is well trained with everything else and is friendly but Im sick of her "hugs"

like can they die

I love animals...all animals. I found a wolf/dog hybred that was starving and getting beaten up by other dogs. I made the other dogs go away and rescued this very ugly dog that was starving to death and injured.

I've had the dog three weeks now and she is fat, healthy and attached to me but...she is pregnant, is not house broken (still less than a year old) and stinks (she rolls in cow **** or dead animals she finds). She howls like a wolf and doesn't bark like a dog. I can't afford to keep her but the no kill shelter is full of dogs this Christmas season.

Practically, I should take her to an animal shelter. Sentimentally, I don't want to betray her trust in me. What would you do? Ugly, and I mean UGLY dog/wolf but obviously the runt of the litter. She is very pregnant and I can't afford to pay $50 to spay every stray dog I find in the area...I live in a very remote place and there are hundreds of homeless animals here. What should I do??? What would you do?

*sigh* My black lab that I rescued seems to have problem after problem after problem... First, it was hot spots. I kept her in for a few weeks, and now they're nicely healed up... Then, her ears kept getting red every now and then, and a lot of red gunk would build up in them in a matter of days... That's pretty much settled. I hope it doesn't come back, but /now/ she has these weird bumps on the outside of her mouth. There's maybe 7 or so big and small bumps on her chin and around her mouth on the flaps of her mouth (lips?) They look like warts sorta or something, but they've just been getting worse. I first noticed a couple about 2 months ago, but now there's more. What could it be?

I have had people say it and seen it on the news about chews and dogs . Some people think that rawhide chews are not good for dogs. My Black Lab stays in the apartment all day and they keep her occupied. I have never had a problem with her and chews but some people say they are bad.

I just found out my puppy has roundworms and before i go to the vet i wanted to know if their was something i could do at home instead of having to go to the vets and spend more money than i might actually have to. I also wanted to know what is the worst thing that can happen to a puppy with roundworms? what will happen if i can't get him treated right away? can he die? will he get really sick? or will he be fine and just need some medicine?

any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Max(beautiful GSD) adopted me a year ago today, he was found on the road side and taken to the vet only to discover he had heartworm, he was treated and recovered well, when I got Max he seemed to know his basic commands, we soon realized he had a special ability to predict my Tia's (mini strokes) and proceeded to train him as a service dog, he has done great. The foster family that I got him from had many dogs inside and Max seemed to get along well with them(the last thing I wanted was an animal aggressive dog) we started taking him for walks in the park, etc and noticed he was starting to become uncomfortable with other dogs, at this point we took him off trail and a firm "leave it" worked for this problem, however today he was in his yard on his run and a neighbors dog came into the yard and Max went for him. These dogs have seen each other every day for a year, neighbor lets his dog run loose and his dog comes into our yard all the time, my dog had established that it is his yard and keeps other dogs at bay. Max for the first time did not stop on a dime and come when called, my son brought him up on the porch and went to bring him inside and Max didn't want to come in, son had to grab his collar and pull him in, this behavior from Max is out of context. How can I re train him as far as animal aggression. Should I start back with the basics in his training (we work on commands as part of our daily routine) This has come out of nowhere and I can not(will not)use him as a service dog with the behavior he showed today.I love my dog and will do whatever is needed to stop his aggression.

He's two years old and healthy otherwise. It's like the bottoms of his ears are crusty. Is this due to dry skin or what? It's only on the lower part of his ears and they do not drag on the ground. Thanks for any help.

Today we picked up a new male border collie puppy. When we brought him home, he started growling softly at our 5-year-old female miniature schnauzer. He's quite shy at the moment, so this was rather startling. Our mini is social, but she was only sniffing him at the time. I realize he needs time, but can we speed it along at all? We really want this to work, so any help is appreciated. Thanks.
