My puppy is almost 12 weeks and a local store is offering the service for $10 and I wasn't sure if he is too young or not.

i dont know why i have to figure this out but i feel i do.my basset hound was hit by a car and died monday.i didnt see it but i heard it the auto hit hard and loud .on the road she was hit on .down the side of it is a steep hill where someones drive way is is where i found my dog laying dead with very little blood comming from her mouth.after i heard the loud crash sound i heard her yelp about 6 times then nothing.would the impact of the car throw her down there.she was laying perfect on her side like she was sleeping.there was no visable damage to her body just a little blood from her mouth.just to let you know my dog was fenced in in the back yard we still dont know how she got out.this is hard for me to write this all i keep hearing is that auto hitting her and that yelping.

I have a mini schnauzer and I always take her places and take her around other people, but she is always barking at everything that moves and it drives me crazy sometimes. I also know that it gets on other nerves as well. She is very sweet and I think she does it so she can xtra attention but when I tell her to stop she just keeps on going.
(She is an indoor dog, it just she barks at everything) Any suggestions??? Please???

It happens when she is in the Car on the way to the Beach, in the mornings occasionally, and at other times when she is sitting on the Sofa....She is a rather highly strung animal.

Im watching someones dog for 2 weeks as well as my own dog. This dog does NOT listen at all, is 7 mths old and is a 60 lb animal. I cant walk him, or tell him anything. My dog who is a month older is well trained, but seems to have no effect on the other dog at all. I don't know what to do. I have no control over him and its driving me crazy. Please help!!

He is a 5 year old, 18 lb, fixed-male rat terrier. He appears uncomfortable and walks slow, especially when he first wakes up. When he stands still, he hunches and unhunches his back/rear area- almost like humping, but less pronounced- and he appears so uncomfortable. However, he is fine on walks. He eats, tinkles and has regular bowel movements. In the past he has pulled a muscle in his leg and neck for which the vet advised bed rest and doggie anti-inflamatories. We are on vacation and hesitant to take him to a unknown vet. We have a call in to his own vet.

My father thinks that you should hit the puppy to raise it and my stepmother thinks that you should say no, bad and if it does something good you should praise it. What would you do?

My dog just had four puppies on Thanksgiving day. I'm sure once their eyes open and they are able to run around, I'm going to start having problems with them using the bathroom since they are so small. Does anyone have any ideas on the best way to potty train a litter or keep the mess down to a minimum until they are potty trained?

Have a 1yr old daschund. He uses the bathroom outside but every now and then he gets a brain cramp. He will use the bathroom in the house two or three times and then he goes back to using the bathroom outside. I've read they are very stubborn and like to mark their territory especially if there are other dogs around. We have a female with a new litter. How can I stop him from going in doors permanently?

He is 5 months and is a lovely confident dog. He plays well with other dogs (quite submissive with them). He is OK to train, and recall is pretty perfect. Im going to get him neutered at about 6-7 months, but will his behaviour change when he is 6-18mths etc He is a shih tzu jack russell cross.

I just found my 7 month puppy chewing on what was left ( the metal tip) of my son's #2 pencil. Will the lead poison her. My son says they don't use lead anymore, it's graphite now. I don't know if this will harm her either, and the vets office isn't open yet. Any advice? I'm really worried!!! Any Pro's out there?

I just got this new puppy and the only way want to play is to fight. he lunge at you and bite. He's biting people feet and hands. He'll even go after your face if it is closer than your hands. How do i teach him to play without biting.

We bought some but we have 2 cats and on the packet it says it is extremely poisonous to cats. How much contact would the cats have to make for their lives to be in danger?
At most, they usually don't make any contact with the dog, but because our dogs bed is in the kitchen, when the cats come in the back door, they will very occasionaly rub round my dogs bed. Depending on how the dog is laying in her bed, the cats sometimes end up rubbing round her head.

i am worried about using it because i love my cats to bits and i need to know how vigilant i need to be.

Many thanks
