Varies-but guess an office visit charge and chip implant should be around $70. With the chip we use, there was a $15 fee to register Katie with the service. But well worth the piece of mind cause collars can get lost. And if someone steals your pet or tries to claim it is theirs, then you can always refer back to that chip! And most shelters now scan for chips. If you call local vets they can give you the cost involved.

Our vet offers it for around $50, but our local Humane Society was at a Pet Expo this summer and offered it for $10. So if you're looking to have it done, I would at least contact your local shelter to see what they charge and if they'll be sponsoring any events and doing it at a lower cost.

The chippings quite cheap. Peeling them first can cost a bunch though.

Are you referring to a "Micro-chip"?
It's typically around $30.

my vets do it for £15, or you can pay £25 for one that tells the vets the dogs temperature, rather than the normal method !
