I would like opinions/stories about a dog litter box.

I asked about ideas for my problem with my dog eliminating in the house and even though all of the suggestions were wonderful, I have tried them all.

I am considering a doggie litter box. Has anyone tried these? How to you feel about them? Did they work? In your opinion, do you think it would work in my situation.

I want to have it as a second option for my dog. So he would always poop in the same spot. I would still continue to walk him and my other dog as often as I do now. (Every 4 hours 6:30 am - 10:30 pm)

buffy is otherwise very happy and healthy but she has suddenly been exhibiting a loss of balance and coordination. appetite fine, awareness sharp as ever. i have heard mention of vestibular issue and it seems that way but she is not cocking her head sideways or having any eye issues, strictly coordiantion and balance only.

At the end of this month, I'm moving into one of my boyfriend's houses alone and he is insisting I get a good watch dog. But I don't know anything about dogs, so could someone please tell me what breed is good for this kind of thing?

My 1 year old beagle rescue(female) is not housebroken. She has had two accidents so far. I take her out frequently but literally 5 minutes after our ten minute stroll, she peed on the living room floor. I caught her midact and took her out and she didn't do anything(obviously). Anyway, she hates the crate and cries if I put her in it when she's not next to the other dog who is also crated. Should I just keep up with praising her everytime she goes out and hope it improves. Any other tips?

Are they barkers, easily house-trained, good for a small apartment vs. a house, do they need constant attention, any medical concerns, what about feeding and grooming?????

I took my ten week old puppy to the vets 2dat, after he kept passing blood in his poo. he's having sloppy one's. They gave him an antibiotic injection and some paste to stop the diorehha. but on coming home he's done another one with quite a bit of blood in it. He's fine in himself eating like a piggy. But I am still worried. Any suggestions?

I'm going to get a highland white terrier and since my mother sleeps for about 5 hrs a day (while I'm at school because she has night shift for work) and so since crates are very expensive nowadays I thought that I could buy a play pen for the dog because the dog is very small and proably couldn't get over it and the play pen will have lots of items in it like a mini bed for him, water, food, toys, and a dog litter box (did you know they started making litter boxes for dogs?! If you dont believe me here is a site where you could train your dog to use the litter box http://www.showpaps.com/litterbox.htm). How much do you think a reasonably medium sized crate would cost? How much would a play pen cost? Thank you for helping! =)

If so, do you want to buy my car? It's DVLA registered and so it must also be quality - right? If you want to buy it I'd recommend you bring a tow truck with you!

*****************************************************

Tedious Disclaimer - whilst my car genuinely IS a heap of scrap metal, and it genuinely IS DVLA registered - this is NOT AN ADVERT FOR MY CAR TO BE SOLD!!! Just thought I'd clarify that before I get reported for advertising!!

The point is - when will (some) people realise that KC registration of a dog is proof ONLY that the dog is of the breed described? NOT a guarantee of good breeding practice!

When will (some) people make proper checks on breeders before handing over money?

He is fully onoculated and reglarly wormed. He is great for 5 days or more then will have a day when he's off colour. I thought it was because he eats his own poo sometimes, especially if its soft and a little runny. He is drinking plenty of water and not showing any signs of being listless.

So yesterday my mom and I bought a 6 onth old Mini Pinscher . She is a girl. And she was really playful. At one point when i was holding her she jumped out and landed on her side. I think she may have bumped her head. Now she sleeps all day, and she eats only a really small amount of food. Is this normal?? I don't really know what I am doing and I also don't really know much about her character. Please help me out. Is the head thing seriuos? Should I be worried about her??

It is about 4 years old and was given to us about a month ago. I guess it's used to table food so we've tried different brands of dog food. Well we have a cat and I always catch it eating cat food and it doesn't touch the dog food. Any ideas or suggestions?
