We have a tile kitchen and my dog likes to lay down on the floor and she is beggining to show rashes on her elbows from the rubing of the tile on her skin. Is this a serous thing?

Will just callous - not so serious. Maybe you should get her a bed/pillow/blanket to lie on.

Often called "kennel elbow" it is not life threatening but sometimes can be uncomfortable for the dog.
Get some type of pad for her to lay on and give it some time the swelling and rash should disapper with time.
Some dogs are not bothered by it at all and nothing needs to be done.
My one weimaraner got it and her elbow swelled so she now lays on a pad and it is back to normal.

No, it is just a callus.
