buffy is otherwise very happy and healthy but she has suddenly been exhibiting a loss of balance and coordination. appetite fine, awareness sharp as ever. i have heard mention of vestibular issue and it seems that way but she is not cocking her head sideways or having any eye issues, strictly coordiantion and balance only.

The veterinarian refers to this as Waddler's Disease. It affects dogs whose bones become brittle. Take your sweet dog to the vet to get treatment for this. They will probably suggest x-rays but I would opt out of that because they usually know what the diagnosis is anyway. The x-ray will only confirm all of the locations of arthritis. Since your dog is age 13, don't be too concerned unless she is in pain. A lab is prone to a lot of problems with bones. Hip dysplasia is one of them. There is a great drug called Rimadyl which helps them. See the vet, please.

You need to go to your vet right away. If your vet says that there isn't a problem then your dog is just getting old

You need to take her to the vet. There are many, many things that could cause this, and most of them aren't good or neutral.
