Your dog has an anus and a vulva. Is it the anus or the vulva? If it is the anus, get her to a vet quick. If her vulva (where she pees from) is swollen and is discharging mucus or blood, she may be in "heat". This can last 3 to 4 weeks and she could become pregnant if a male dog mates with her. If you don't want puppies, get her spayed. Male dogs are neutered.

DON'T LET HER OUTSIDE WITHOUT SUPERVISION. MALE DOGS CAN SMELL HER FROM A MILE AWAY.

Is the dog also bleeding? Are there any male dogs following her around or showing extreme interest in her? without looking it will be very hard to tell you. What I can tell you is that my female lab was showing signs of going into heat and was very swollen, it turned out that she had a protracted uterus and needed immediate surgery.

In order to answer that question , first need to know how old the dog is. Keep an eye on her she maybe coming into heat. If that is the case she will start bleeding soon.

She is in heat. If you want to breed her do it on the eighth day after she starts bleeding. I just bred my boxer. I f you don't want to breed and don't plan on it this would be a good time to get her fixed...I think you have to wait until her cycle ends though.
