So yesterday my mom and I bought a 6 onth old Mini Pinscher . She is a girl. And she was really playful. At one point when i was holding her she jumped out and landed on her side. I think she may have bumped her head. Now she sleeps all day, and she eats only a really small amount of food. Is this normal?? I don't really know what I am doing and I also don't really know much about her character. Please help me out. Is the head thing seriuos? Should I be worried about her??

Any drastic change in behavior like this should be a sign of problems. I suggest taking her to a vet to have her checked out. As an owner and breeder of Min Pins I can definitly say I have never seen or heard of a Miniature Pinscher changing their behavior like that unless something is wrong.

Call your vet asap!

If you believe the head injury is the cause of her problems take her to the vet.you can look up her breed on akc.org for more info on her. Were did she come from a shelter, a breeder, a foster home?Depending on how she was kept before you maybe the cause of her eating and sleeping habits. But again if you think the bump on the head has anything to do with it take her to the vet would you take the chance if she was your little girl?

Do you think you and your mother should of learn about the breed before you got it?
Get a book on the breed and read up on it.
