hmm i sort of have the same problem, my dog only pees when i pet her, wierd huh, but now shes learning to go outside, take a treat with you and play with the dog outside, preferably on your lawn, sooner or later she will have to pee or poo outside, when she does you congratulate her with the treat, afterwards the dog will learn, my dog now knocks on the door when she wants to go outside

The training mats are useless, they just teach the puppy that it's okay to go inside. Instead try crate training for a brief period of time because puppy's will not urinate or defecate where they have to lay down. Within a few weeks you should be able to reduce the crate use to confining her to a small space when you are not home. Also try taking her to the same place to pee every time and say "Go Potty" or whatever term you want to use. And then reward her with a treat every time and say "good potty" Repetition is everything. I have a 6month old lab and she is completely house trained by my using this method. Good luck!

Actually I have the same problem trying to toilet train my dog.
I have a 3 yr old ***** who has a weak bladder and sometimes pees inside without noticing. She has medication to take which helps but its not very nice.
Because she wees in the house I believe my puppy thinks its ok despite lots of telling off and being put outside.
He will go to the toilet outside but it hasn't stopped him going inside. I've found locking him in the cage at night doesn't stop him and he just goes to the toilet in the cage no matter how many times you try unless you leave the door open and then he'll just go on the kitchen floor instead.
He also eats poo. gross and annoying but he won't stop unless caught in the act.
All i can recommend is taking him/her outside often and praising and rewarding when going to the toilet outside and if he does go inside ignore him/her if you don't see him do it but if he goes to go pick him/her up and put him outside until he goes then praise. If you catch him/her mid pee tell him/her off and then put outside.
Hopefully soon they'll get the right idea and stop peeing inside and start going outside.

I didn't know they sold training mats nowadays...... To get to the matter... I take it You used the kitchen floor as a training area...... Possible your pup has had to deal with a traumatic experience goingg out and only doing it where it is safe I suppose... Punishment is the last thing you should do in such a case.... Make the animal feel safe outside again.... Any odd behavior around going out is a clue....

you haven't house trained her properly. Start from scratch and hgo back to the beginning in training her. When is she fed? What time do you take her into the garden at night? When do you get up to take her out again. Nobody can give you proper answers without a fuller picture and more detail.

Try walking within 30 minutes of eating. Also do not clean the soiled spots with an ammonia based cleaner as this indicates to the dog it is an okay bathroom spot.

you can get this sent stuff that dogs like too pee and poo on
and put it on newspaper, and reward dog for using it. and every time move it a bit closer to the door until its outside your dog
will start going to the door when they need to go.
if newspaper gets chewed try something heavy the the pup cant pick up good luck

animals won't go to the bathroom in the same place they eat, so try to put your puppy's food in the kitchen. They also sell stuff that you can spray to either make it so the pet won't or will go in the spot you spray it. Also try talking to the vet. He/She might have an idea
