love cats. All kinds of cats. I know cats. I want to help you live in harmony with the cats around you. If you love cats, love their colors, eyes, whiskers and fur; if you love their purrs, chirps and meows; then you love cats, too!

He originally used to go outside but i moved into a flat 2 years ago so he uses the tray. Thing is he tries to cover up his "crap" but completely misses the litter - instead catching the edge of the tray. I got a bigger tray but it makes no difference. Its like once hes done his thing he wont stand in the litter. In the end my other cat covers it up when she needs the tray. I dont know what else to do - this has been going on for nearly 2 years. It was funny at first but its beyond a joke as everytime he catches the edge of the tray its really noisy so if in bed it wakes me up.

I hope everyone has been avoiding Hartz products, some of what they sell for pets can be very dangerous.

Anyway if you use this vitamin product please be aware there is a recall on this. More details below

bottles within the lot may have been potentially contaminated with
Salmonella. Hartz is fully cooperating with the US Food and Drug Administration
in this voluntary recall.

The product involved is 3600 bottles of Hartz Vitamin Care for Cats,
lot code SZ-16371, UPC number 32700-97701, which was manufactured by a

Hello. My black cat Zooey is 6 years old. two months ago I took him to the vet because he kept running to the litterbox to urinate way more than normal. Vet told me he had a bladder infection and crystals in the bladder. Zooey was on antibiotics and he's on special food(Royal Canin, prescription food). Well about 3 weeks ago he started puking. He'll be fine for 2 or 3 days and then early in the morning or late at night he'll vomit everywhere. Zooey's not constantly puking, just every couple days. Sometimes he throws up hair, sometimes he throws up food. If this keeps up I'll call the vet soon, but I thought I could use some feedback from other cat owners. I'm worried It could be something serious. Cats are so hard to understand.

i wash my cat like every 2-weeks with flea shampoo and put frontline plus every month on her. she is so hairy and infested with fleas all the time. i am not sure why the frontline doesn't help as it claims. now she sleeps everywhere and eggs are all over the house like thousands of them. what shall i do?

My cat is really annoying! I let her outside because she is scratching at the door, but then shes at the other door a minute later wanting to come back in, and it goes on and on! She is a very affectionate cat, she loves to be in your face all the time, but does she think its a game?

Also, after she eats, she sometimes throws up? Is this serious? We took her to the vets, nothings wrong.
Could it be her food? She is very fussy she only likes 2 brands of cat food and 1 flavour; Whiskers and Frisky (Tuna, Fish flavour)

Thanks.

I had my cat for 10 years. She is fixed, and front de-clawed. She has been living outside for increasing periods of time since last spring when we got a puppy. She just doesn't like to share her home I guess, the pup was never mean to her. She would come in to eat at 1st, then she stopped doing that & would just meow at the door so I would feed her outside. She quit doing that as often, so I just put food out for her and she'd come eat at some point during the day. But now it is to the point where I don't see her for days on end, I set food out & it sits there for 2 days..and either her or another animal eats it at night when I am asleep. It's cold outside now & I wonder where she is, why she's not coming around anymore. Is it just in cat's nature to want to live outdoors & be wild? Before we got the dog, she used to try to get outside a lot, but we always made sure she didn't get out. I have to be worried & wonder where is she, what has she been eating, how is she keeping warm?

Am aware of the nightmares out there of "adoptees" and just WANT TO MAKE SURE THESE THREE KITTENS I HAVE GO TO WARM LOVING RESPONSIBLE HOMES. So placed an ad on craigslist today.
All the shelters aren't taking cats for THREE months, as we made 1/2 dozen phone calls.
Wish we had room for them but we already have 2 cats and live in a small apartment.
Anyway the cat outside adopted us due to her neglectful original home. Guess she knew the most loving house on the block :--)
Anyway, hoping that I get nice ppl on craigslist to adopt the other 3 kittens out to some awesome homes for them.

I noticed the other day that my 11 year-old neutered male cat's belly (lower abdomen) was almost completely bald. I know over-grooming is one the most common causes but he is a bit overweight so grooming that area is difficult for him. This skin is healthy and pink with no sores and he doesn't get upset or flinch when I touch him there. He has no other areas of hair loss and the rest of his coat looks healthy. Also, I treat all my cats with Advantage for fleas. Any ideas?

Does catnip affect people in any way? If so how? Have you tried it? Why does it work on us? Why doesn't it work on us?

I have a ginger cat with faint dark ginger stripes and a white bib under his neck and a little bit on his face. I also have a black cat with a white bib around her neck, her paws and a little on her face. As you probably guessed, they're siblings and i think they came from a tortishell but i'm not sure. They are very pretty cats but what breed are they both. The black cat is Sooty and the ginger is Sonny.
Thankyou.
