My cat is really annoying! I let her outside because she is scratching at the door, but then shes at the other door a minute later wanting to come back in, and it goes on and on! She is a very affectionate cat, she loves to be in your face all the time, but does she think its a game?

Also, after she eats, she sometimes throws up? Is this serious? We took her to the vets, nothings wrong.
Could it be her food? She is very fussy she only likes 2 brands of cat food and 1 flavour; Whiskers and Frisky (Tuna, Fish flavour)

Thanks.

No biscuits, they can't digest it. If you want good food go to healthypetnet.com and order some life's abundance, (most stuff you get in stores is just fortified cereal made of mostly corn which they can't digest either), it's mostly meat. It may seem expensive but my 12 lb. male only needs half cup a day and I play with him every day and he likes to jet around so he has lot's of energy. From what I hear, even though they like it, any kind of fish is bad for cats including Tuna.

As for the in and out thing, sounds like she wants to go out and explore a little but also wants to be able to look behind her and see the door open. They are connected to you and the place you live with her, both are sources of security, when there is something in the way they feel cut off and it panics them a little.

BTW: Considering all the dangers out there like cars, bad people and diseases or who knows what else you may want to consider keeping the cat inside and buying cat toys/playing with her yourself.

The puking is just part of being a cat. If your vet gave her an 'ok' do not worry about it. As for the other part of your situation it sounds like kitty may be a little bored, and yes you are right, it may be a game to her. Have you tried any little cat toys for her? Try an old fashioned bottle cap on the kitchen floor.(I don't know why that one works so well) I have a cheapo fake furry mousy like thing hanging on the wall on rubber bands so it bounces around, and so it is more life like. A cheap laser pen will keep her entertained and interactive with you. Good luck to you and kitty! I am sure it will work out.

LOL, the door thing - that's just one of the rules for being a cat. She likes to explore, and she doesn't like closed doors. Besides, you don't own her - she owns you. The more things she can make you do for her, the better. You might consider installing a cat door for her.

The throwing up thing - some cats just have sensitive tummies, and if they eat too much, they'll throw up. Ask your vet how to handle this, you might need to feed her just a little bit at a time. Fussiness is totally normal, by the way.

Good luck!

lolol...i love cats. She probably does think it's a game, or she's just being a little jerk! Just let her out, and then let her back in until she gets tired of it. Or buy her some cat toys to preoccupy her.

As far as the throwing up thing, that's pretty normal. She might be eating too fast, or it doesn't agree with her. Try a sensitive stomach food instead, and see if that works. She'll eat it eventually; she won't starve.

Maybe she is just antsy.. my cats are the same way, they go out.. wonder around and then come back to the window... Just talk to her, I do that sometimes and it works. I know that sounds crazy but cats love talking.. as specially ones that are close to you.
You might try just picking her up and putting her away from the door when she's done it a few times, sometimes they get the hint.
She might want to show you something though, some cats want to show you a gift after they hunt.. you could follow her and see what she's doing.

My cat had been missing for a few days, so we were starting to get worried about him. Two days ago I saw a dead cat on the road on the way to school, and yesterday I went down with my dad to see if it was our cat. Sure enough, he was lying in the ditch twisted up and squashed like a pancake. What your cat is doing is totally normal, so nothing is wrong with it. Cats are really fun animals to have, so you should have a good time with it while you can, because the next day it might not be just another animal lying in the road.

Cats, no matter how tamed and affectionate they are around people are, at the core, still fairly wild little critters. So I figure there's a part of your kitty that wants to be out on the prowl, but at the same time she wants the security of being with you. The throwin' up thing sounds like it might be a problem w/ hairballs. Good luck!!

Your cat is being a cat. Personally I don't let my cats outside no matter how much they beg.

As far as throwing up, it's pretty normal. Just make sure there isn't any blood, mucas, or worms in it.

As far as the food, you really shouldn't switch cat foods over and over. Select 1 cat food and stick with it. She'll eat what you put out when she's hungry. She might hold out for "better" stuff, but hold your guns. Put her food out and let it be. She will eat when she's hungary.

As far as the throwing up, it is probablly hairballs. Cats are very smart. She could just be wanting your attention or maybe she can be out a second before she becomes insecure without you. Some cats are very close to there owners like that.

ok i have 4 cats and ive had them for about 2 years now so i hope my information is useful.
my cat does the same little "game" too
she thinks youll come outside with her and when you dont , then she wants to come back in. then she tries again. cats dont like being alone, they like the company of their owner. cats are very smart and sensitive.
and as for the throwing up thing, maybe shes allergic. or maybe she just has a hairball.l0l
but dont keep switching your cat food because she might get sick. just stick with one and she'll eat when shes hungry.
