my cat sometimes lick oil in our frying pan.. my brother told me.. but why?.. i thought i've been feeding him well but why he still wants to lick oil?.. is it good for him.. or does the oil poison him if he frequently licks it...

Cat and dog food is sprayed with filtered but used oil (from restaurants exc.) to make it more appetizing to your pet so it's only naturally your cat would want to eat it. I'm sure it's not good for it though you may want to consider putting a lid on the pan, it could hurt itself if the oil is hot.

The cat that lives in my house eats EVERYTHING!! You cannot leave any dirty dish in the sink, or she'll lick it. She'll even jump on the table and try to steal food right off the plates...and we feed her well (dry food), plus she's an indoor/outdoor cat so she catches mice, etc. My suggestion? Put the frying pan in the oven if you cannot wash it immediately!! I do not think the oil will harm your cat; ours is alive and well and full of mischief at 10 years old!!

Oil is delicious to a cat..in moderation. It will not poison itself by doing that.

He'll get burned eventually, or drop dead from poisoning.
