Take it to the shelter and they will do it. But really, it's a shame that you can't take it to the vet. Euthanasia does not cost that much. At my clinic, it's $15 and we'd have been happy to take a dollar a week from you as payment. You have a responsibility to your pet to make it's final moments peaceful and I'm sure he/she would be much happier passing away in your arms. If you can afford an internet connection to ask a question on Yahoo, you can afford euthanasia

I do know of a few humane ways of euthanizing a pet, without taking it to a vet. But I refuse to disclose that information on Yahoo Answers, especially without knowing the person on a personal level.
The carbon monoxide idea, is NOT humane, the cat will likely freak out, and that is not the right way to end the life of a pet.
Consult your vet if they could help you out. Or like another person answered, contact the humane society and maybe they can help you. Please don't just dump it off somewhere and let it fend for itself, that is not a humane thing to do either.

1st, it's not going to bankrupt you to take it to a vet. Use Yahoo local or google maps to find local veterinarians. Call each one in your area and tell them, "My cat is sick how much would it cost to put it sleep".
2nd, if you absolutely cannot afford it then listen to other postings in this forum.
But, don't kill it yourself. If you love the pet then there is no good way for you to kill your cat yourself.

Your local humane society might do it for no cost or at least a small donation. One of my cats had a litter of kittens not long ago, and one of kittens was very ill from the start. I took it to the humane society and they did it there.

You show absolutely no consistency in your questions. In a span of 2 months or so you say you're a student going to study abroad in Canada, then your girlfriend is coming to stay with you in the UK, at one point 3 weeks ago you're asking about restaurants near Halifax to take her out to dinner, saying that money is not a issue, then the electronic devices question (btw, get a pacemaker) and so on and so on. Are you for real, or are you just asking random questions out of curiosity?

Any humane society or animal shelter has options for you. Our vet charges $43 for the shot. The shelter would do it for free.

As sad and cruel as it may sound you can report having found it and it seeming ill and ask the humane society to come get it. They'll take her off your hands and make sure she's comfy until she passes. Next time you can afford it remember their help though, and make a donation. Sorry about your pet.

i really do not imagine the thyroid pills (Tapazole?) are accountable. yet seizures will be dealt with with phenobarbital. because she obviously is depressing, getting her to ensure a vet once obtainable will be cautioned. After 17years of love she has earned a speedy holiday to a vet.

You should not do it yourself. To have the cat put to sleep is not that expensive. Are you sure you need to even take these measures? Worse case scenerio, contact your local Humane Society. They will take the cat and care for it, or have it euthanized if need be, at no cost to you.
