they look like little maggots, I'm planning on calling her vet Monday to make an apt. but it usually takes a while to get her in.
she seems to get them frequently. she is an indoor cat, and we use advantage on her so she has no fleas...thanks

what is really weird though is we don't see any in her poop and I have taken her to the vet twice before after seeing the worms on her bottom and they test her and say they don't see any worm but seen we see them they treat her. (seems weird) and we usually pay around 160-200 a treatment..

I agree that you are seeing tapeworm segments. You might even see little white pieces of "rice" stuck to her fur around her tail. Very common and very easy to cure.

Your vet should know that tapes are difficult to diagnose in a stool sample because their eggs are so tiny tiny tiny.

Praziquantel is the correct med to use. I was surprised to learn that you CAN buy this OTC without a script! Good info to know.

Bring a sample of the poop into the vet on Monday. They'll tell you what kind of worms they are (sounds like tapeworms though), and they will be able to prescribe the correct medication. You might not have to bring the cat in, you should just be able to drop off a sample and in 15 minutes know what you're dealing with.

At one point she had fleas, because what you are seeing are tapeworm segments. Medication is over the counter--praziquantel is what you need to get. Dose is based on weight.
