If you're washing before applying the Frontline, the Frontline is not going to work. Quit washing your cat altogether, since flea shampoos don't work. You need to wait 48 hours after bathing before applying Frontline, and you need to make sure it gets on the skin, not the fur. If you're still not happy, switch to Revolution, Advantage or Advocate.

Having a clean house has nothing to do with it - fleas feed on blood, not dirt. They can live in the cracks of floor boards or tiles and down the backs of sofas, so I still recommend you spray your house and soft furnishings.

Firstly, you need to have your house treated to stop the flea's life cycle. They will come spray your floors with a certain chemical that will stop your home's flea infestation. Next, you need to purchase a flea dip for your cat. Also, you can increase your Frontline Plus applications to every two weeks. It will not harm your cat, and you also must treat any other animals that you have in your home too. You can also try Capstar, an oral pill to kill the fleas, or Program Liquid for cats, which works wonderfully. My cat has a flea allergy, so I have had a lot of experience with fleas. Just keep in mind, it is very important to treat the entire environment not just the cat. You need to have your house sprayed or treated for your flea infestation. Try going onto 1800PetMeds or another pet medication supplier to purchase product to help your poor cat out. I hope this helps & good luck!!!!

If Frontline isn't working, try a different medication. Take her to the vet and see what they recommend. There is also Advantage and Revolution. If there is a groomer in your area that does cats, take your cat to have a flea bath and while she is there, bomb your house. Then wait a few days for the oil in her fur to build up and use the flea medication.
If you are bathing her and then putting the Frontline on right after, that is why it isn't working.

Please be sure to get her to the vet. If she is infested with fleas all the time that puts her at a health risk for tapeworm and anemia.
I would check with the vet on changing products. Also I would not use the over counter products you can buy at grocery stores etc., some have been know to kill pets.
Is she an inside/outside cat? If she goes outside, after having the house cleared of the fleas I would keep her in as well.

first off call a professional bug killer to come and get rid of the fleas living in your home plus the eggs. Second off take the cat to a groomer to have her get a flea bath. Frontline mostly just prevents fleas and if they are living in your home they will keep reapearing. So call the organ man or any other company that deal with ridding of bug problems

Phone the vet and ask, they'd be most likely to know what would work in your area.

Usually I use Advantage. It works for 6 weeks straight. BUT since you've already put on Frontline, you can't keep adding more and more on top of this, these are pesticides and you can damage your cat's liver and kidney functions. Which is why a call to the vet with this question would be best. Let him/her know what you've already used and when you used it.

right that's the fast, foolproof, and user-friendly answer. a million. shop your canines on Frontline - or change to earnings in case you prefer. 2. be conscious Frontline/earnings to your cats - get the main superb dose for their weight. 3. do this for 4 months right now. you have an invaluable style of flea eggs, larva and pupae in the abode that would take 3-4 months to be triumphant in the person degree. 4. purchase a can of Siphotrol (or equivalent) out of your Vet. 5. Spray the comprehensive abode - each and each darn room. 6. Re-spray the abode in 4 weeks. you will locate that for the period of the 1st few days the vast majority of the person fleas have been killed. Slowly, over the subsequent 3 months, new adults would be reemerging, so be vigilant with treating the pets on time with their Frontline/earnings. i might tremendously advise leaving all the pets on a flea product year around - yet it somewhat is your determination. base line for costs. Frontline might in all probability have been greater fee-effective for all 3 pets, then procuring flea collars, foggers, capstar etc.... everybody continuously wastes their money at the cheap crap first, then it extremely hurts to spend additional money on the forged stuff whilst the flea issue does not bypass away. And be conscious, there's a pupa degree to fleas. no longer something kills fleas in this degree. you need to watch for them to finally end up to be adults. it somewhat is why its needed to handle for 3-4 months. finally - right this is the place you went incorrect: no longer putting the cats on a solid flea product. for each flea the frontline become killing on your canines, there have been in all probability one hundred greater reproducing off your cats.

Yucky! Take her to the vet to get the shot. There's a shot now that kills fleas, ticks, worms AND mites all at once. It should cost about $30.

Please get this taken care of. Fleas contain tapeworm eggs, which can be very harmful for the kitty (and people!)
