my friend just got a kitten about three months ago and it is a tortoise shell it is gray and has orange spots. My friend gets bit by it alot and they took it to the vet and the vet said it could be bipolar me and my twin sister think it's just learning to use it's teeth and claws
because it's just a few months old when they got it they still had to feed it milk and they want to take it to the puond if they tell the puond that it might be bipolar no will want to adopt it and after they take if they do there going to get a new puppy. do you think a kitten can be bipolar???????

I am going to adopt him either way, but I would like to know what I am going to have to do for him. He is going in for another test soon (he's 7 weeks old) to make sure.

What can I do to make his life easier? How is he different from other kittens? I'm borderline anemic, will he effect my health, or I his?

Any help or advice would be much appreciated!

My cat is drinking and peeing a little too much. i think i should take her to the vet but am afraid of the bill as i am sure they will have to run tests. Anyone have a ballpark estimate as to how much it would cost?

We have a year old male neutered cat who refuses to go in the litter box when it is upstairs next to the other ones. We have three cats, a litter box for each (one uncovered, two covered). The other cats have no problem, but he will not use the litter box. My mom took to locking him in the downstairs bathroom with the litter box and he has no problem going in there, but as soon as we let him go, he goes back on the upstairs floor. Do you think he would benefit from having a litter box downstairs? Should we get a fourth litter box and put it downstairs? My mom wants to find a home for him, but I can't bear to let him go... he's my cat... my favorite cat and it breaks my heart to even think about it. Please help....

I am sorry for this long explanation but I think it is necessary for you guys not to think I am just paraniod or something...
I have three cats, aged 6 years, 2 1/2 years, and a little over a year. I have been having major problems with my landlord...such as, I caught him going into my place for no reason while I wasnt home (or wasnt supposed to be home), he always knows what me and my boyfriend were discussing the night before (in our apartment which is on second floor, and the same things happened to our downstairs neighbor, several times), he says we can plant stuff, then when we do, he rips everything out the second we finished and even throws our potted plants upside down in the neighbors garden, and he recently complained about my cats sneaking outside....
So, two of my cats got outside the other day, now they have uncontrolable diarrea, they lost a sunstancial amount of weight, will not eat or drink anything, and they are moaning.
Do you think they were poisoned? 3rd cat OK

My baby, Mog died this morning. The vet has arranged for her to be cremated and us to have her ashes back in an urn. But I can't imagine that there will be a lot - she was half the weight of an normal adult cat anyway. So I'm curious to know what sort of urn it will be. Will it be sealed? Any helpful answers appreciated XXX

My 16 yr old cat is starting to have kidney issues. The vet has recommended buying cat food that has between low protein, 9-12% protein. He said that the prescription diet contains 8% and she does not have to go on that yet. I have searched, but can not find food with less than 28% protein. Any suggestions?

We have a year old male cat called Timmy and a new male kitten called Krusty we've had them both from 6 weekd old, they do not seem to get along actually Timmy doesn't like Krusty! They are fine sometimes even sleeping on our bed together but most of the time Timmy growls at Krusty and will not stay in the same room as him. Krusty want's to play with Timmy but he's not interested both are able to go outside but giving them their own space has not solved the issue.
It is a pain in the bum as I am often woken up by one cat growling and hissing then the sound of fur flying and the cat flap flapping as one dives out they are driving me mad.

I have a seven year old daughter that I rescued a cat for about two years ago and it's a great cat but she only likes my daughter, so I decided to get a cat of my own. I flew to Texas to get the kitten and spent the weekend there. He loved me until I got him home and he met my daughter. Now he won't have anything to do with me or the rest of the family except for of course my daughter. How can I make him like the rest of us? Why is it all cats like my daughter?

We have cat that is 3 years old. He's been neutered, had all of his shots, and has always lived inside. Yesterday he bit my wife's hand-it was DEEP into the flesh between her knuckles. The doctor today said she may have to be hospitalized because the bacteria in a cat's mouth is foreign to a human's body.

It happened accidentally when the cat got startled and my wife was trying to hold him to calm him-he bit her to make her let him go-but my wife's occupation is as a massage therapist-hand injuries are costly in the most literal sense.

This cat cost us over $500.00 during the summer when we had him boarded at a vet's office and to pay for all of his shots. I'm sick of how expensive he is-and my wife and I have agreed to get him out of our house as quickly as possible.

Any suggestions on the best way to do this?

Thanks for your thoughts.

Dwight

I dunno what's wrong but i have two male cats and one female in my house. At first i thought they were joking around (my male cats) bitting each other. But suddenly my older male cat bite the other male in his neck, and try to mate with him. What the hell?!! Im so in shock and after witness it for couple of minutes, i start to hit my cat, stopping them! But that's not enough, he do it again at outside (my mom see it)!
I dunno what to do right now and im soo lost in thought. I cant figure it out why? I still cant believe it!
Though im pro with the cats issue but this is the first time im being dumb bout it. Any thought at all coz i really need some! Gimme some logic answer, please...

Why, cat owners, why? WHY? Every negative answer to a cat question gets many thumbs-down, even when they're perfectly correct and accurate answers. Fair enough, answers condoning cruelty or violence deserve thumbing down and reporting, but when someone says they don't like cats and gives genuine reasons it gets thumbs-down galore! Why?
I like dogs but I don't thumb-down answers in the dog section from people who simply say they don't like them.

I have three cats and has had several dogs. My dogs treated me much more like the leader than my cats. I have been "strong" with both groups and did things like rewarded good behavior and eating before they ate..

My poor 2 1/2 yr old Bengal male was killed on Sunday 23rd September. He leaves behind a sister who misses him like crazy.
He was left for dead in the road and wasn't moved out of the road until my neighbour went to get his paper around 7 am.
No one informed me until 8 am, by which time, it was all too late.
I am so gutted, the pain is still raw and i don't have anyone to blame as i didn't witness what happened.
How can i go about finding out who was responsible without canvassing?
We don't live on a main road, it's an access only road. It was a quiet sunday morning, you could hear the church bells ringing in the distance. So someone must know what they did!
I could cope better if they'd just stopped, for 5 seconds, and moved him from the road.
I don't feel as though i can move on until i find out who did this to my poor baby... :(
