I am sorry for this long explanation but I think it is necessary for you guys not to think I am just paraniod or something...
I have three cats, aged 6 years, 2 1/2 years, and a little over a year. I have been having major problems with my landlord...such as, I caught him going into my place for no reason while I wasnt home (or wasnt supposed to be home), he always knows what me and my boyfriend were discussing the night before (in our apartment which is on second floor, and the same things happened to our downstairs neighbor, several times), he says we can plant stuff, then when we do, he rips everything out the second we finished and even throws our potted plants upside down in the neighbors garden, and he recently complained about my cats sneaking outside....
So, two of my cats got outside the other day, now they have uncontrolable diarrea, they lost a sunstancial amount of weight, will not eat or drink anything, and they are moaning.
Do you think they were poisoned? 3rd cat OK

third cat is fine still....

I am moving this weekend- this guy is too creepy... i cant even explain. I only told you of things that happened this week, not this whole year. He reminds me of a serial killer or something. Also, I recently found out from an old lady down the street that he got out of jail before i moved in. He is like 40 or something and lives with his mother, he was in jail before that for like 6 or 7 years. He also stalks around my building all day long. and sometimes really late at night.

i was going to ask but forgot to...I do not have any money at all to take them to the vet. I dont know if there are such things as free clinics or if I take them to a humane society orsonething what they would do...If they can save them, I would sacrifice giving them up since I obviously cant afford them anyway.

I am moving this weekend. I have a 10 month old so I am getting out in two days. Lease is up this month anyway.

Christ, I would move. This guy sounds like he's one step short of going in and attacking his tenants.

Landlords are supposed to give 24 hour notice before entering a tenant's apartment. Short of changing the locks or putting up video surveylance, you don't have many options here. If you live in a large city, there's usually a landlord/tenant legal group that can help out, but for the immediate 'now', I'd certainly not trust anything around that guy.

Get the cats to the vet. Start looking for another place, possibly have a security professional come in to look for microphones and miniature cameras planted in your apartments (it's been known to happen, they can fit inside clocks and smoke alarms now).

You sound like you have a right tyrantical cow!

First if you take your cats to the vets and they should run toxicological screening to see if they have any poison in thier body. Tell them what you think has happened.
It is very important that they seek attension at the vets incase they have things like organ failure, convulsion or death.

When you have done that, I would be calling the police, animal protection agencies, any kind of organisations that deal with tenacy rights etc.
I would get a camera installed, recording kits etc for evidence.
I don't think that they can go in without your permission or given notice.

I have had a problem similar to your with a woman called Lyn James.

Make sure you check everything you own, eat and so on incase there is pioson in them. Get the police too look everywhere.

If this person is doing this damage, he would have to pay for it and possibly face a jail term.

I hope you kick his back-side! (not literally)

Mmmm where there is smoke there is fire. What are the odds that two out of three of your cats will get sick at about the same time,,,,

We have a suspect.
We know the person hates you
We know the person is violent (throwing your pots out)
We know he made an subtle acuussation at your cats
NOW YOUR CATS ARE SICK,,,,,?

Sounds like foul play here . Before you call the police on him or accuse him of anything have a vet examine the cats, or take blood samples for testing to see what comes up.

Alternatively just leave the apartment

Take your cats to a VET! The vet can determine whether they have been poisoned or not or if they have another problem. We had a similar problem some years ago when our two cats were quite ill. We know it had something to do with the dry food, but the manufacturer was unable to find anything wrong with it. Ours weren't in as serious of condition as yours is after only a couple of days.

Ooof, what a story. Just want to say good luck and if you can scrape a few pennies together bring at least one kitty to the vet to find out what happened. Your landlord is horrible. Good luck to you, and I hope your kitties turn out ok. Try to at least force water with an eyedropper so they get some much needed hydration OK?

He sounds completely creepy and disturbed.

Take your cats to the vet. They have definitely gotten into something and need fluids. Not eating and drinking are signs of major problems.

He sounds like a real creeper. Is there a tenant rights group you can call? As far as I know, it is ILLEGAL for a landlord to enter your premises without 24hrs notice. And if he knows what your are talking about, your place is tapped or he's in there...............
Get out of there.
As for your cats it sounds like antifreeze poisening and unfortunatly I don't think anything can be done. Get them to a vet asap. Poor things.

Yes, he most likely poisoned them. If they both just happened to get sick, that owuld mean the 3rd cat, who didn't sneak outside, would most likely be sick too. The fact that the two that snuck out are the only ones to get sick suggests they were poisoned.

Solution: Have your boyfriend knock him out.

Wow creepy. Its definitely plausible that he could have done something to your cats. Have you taken them to the vet? That would be a good idea. And moving out is also a good idea.
