She LOVES going into the windows, but every time she does, about 2 minutes later she starts licking herself like she is covored in bugs. I check her constantly for fleas, ticks, mosqitos, ANYTHING that could be bothering her. I dont know if it is just the wind tickling her fur, but i would like to now if anyone thinks this could be something to know about. She does act like she has ADHD not kidding. But i have not gotten her tested for it, do you think this could have anything to do with it IF she has that?

Thank you

After being gravely ill the last 2 days, believe it our not, my vet just diagnosed diabetes in my cat. I was not prepared for this and I am trying to find out what a basic maintenance plan will cost a month to adjust my budget accordingly

How much is a bottle of insulin? "Lantus"

Whats your experience with cat diabetis?

I have a flea problem in my apartment. I got rid of my cat because I could not afford to treat her, as well as my home. I just used the flea foggers they tell you to use. I cleaned my place like crazy after it was safe to go back in the apartment. I vaccummed the whole place after sprinkling the flea powder every where. The day after I cleaned the apartment I have seen one jump on me and I killed it. I know I will probably still have a few fleas in the house because not all of them will die. I am just wondering since I do not have a cat any more and I did all of the above to rid my house of fleas....If it is at all possible for them to reproduce and cause another flea infestation with just human blood. I nkow they bit humans, they do not live on us. This would be a great relief to find this out.

He doesn't do it all the time, but I do have a related question - how much, and how often should you feed a normal-sized cat? He seems to eat a lot more than other cats I've seen. Can he be getting that hungry between feedings?

My daughter's boyfriend has a friendly stray cat in his garage that has a litter--he's working hard to find homes for them when the time comes. Now they have fleas--not terribly, yet, but still notable. How can you treat fleas on kittens that young?

The reason I ask is that I have used it and almost killed my cat with it. Hartz is aware of this issue and refuses to do anything about it. My cat went into severe convulsions. DO NOT USE THEM. All vets will tell you that these are very dangerous! Please throw them away and do not buy ANY HARTZ products.

I'm really not wanting to go. I have a great petsitter but if I die I have no one who would take as good care of them as me!
Can anyone give me a better perspective? I'm getting kind of freaked about leaving them.

rabies? ok heres the story- my dad's work had a stray cat who had kittens infront of the building and ecerybody took the kittens and nobody took the mother, so we took it. we took it to the vet and it had nothing but a big stomach and they said we should worry about it. now we find out shes prgnant, 3 weeks ago she had babies. we dont know if the father had rabies and theyre like biting eachothers heads and attacking eachother and they hissed at theyre mom and my real mom, shes was cleaning the carpet which they sleep next too[she used one of those bottles with the trigger and it sprays] do thet have rabies? or even the slightest sign?

his back legs. He usually does this right after he gets thorugh playing with something or right when he wakes up. He doesn't hiss, or really show anger when he does it, but he draws blood each time. Anyway I can stop this behavior before my 3 and five year old neices come to see him?

I believe you should Spay/neuter your pet only if you prefer -- not because some goof-case thinks (s)he can play with your concience 'til (s)he makes you feel guilty about it.
Owning a cat has choices -- one of those is whether or not you want to spay/neuter your cat. I think we should all have that choice, without being bawled out by some guy who things animals atta be right up there with humans.

If it's my choice, leave it as my choice willya? If I want don't wanna spay/neuter my cat, by golly I won't!

Now that I'm over my little rampage... ;P .... Seriously, you say it increases the population of cat's that need homes. Well what if I assure the cats get homes? And I don't mean in shelters. You assume that all pet-breeders are irrisponsible and immature. I think it's high-time you stop categorizing mature people who know what they're doing with goofballs.

Anyone with me, or do you all believe in animal wrights?

relax, i'm just wondering. I have a male and female cat, they're 7 months and haven't bred yet.
I don't want to hear anything like, "DONT BREED YOUR CAT THERES ALREADY 54327843204789320749320 (or however many) THAT ARE IN SHELTERS" because I already asked a question about that, go here if you'd like to vent about that: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AhAOXf_LGLJJzEoBh_WZfKjsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20070928122726AAHzmcw
But what I need/want to know, does it cause or increase birth defects? Thanks ya'll (ESPECIALLY for not mentioning the "YOUR IRRISPONSIBLE PET OWNER")

Our 3 year old Siamese cat had one litter and than we neutered her. Still, about every 2 months she is in heat again and meows all the time like crazy. I feel bad for her and it also gets on our nervs as she is soooo loud. We have another female cat that had a similar history, but she has not been in heat since the operation and I don't think she'll ever be. What happened to the cat? Was the procedure not well made? Or is it something about Siamese cats that is special?
Thxs in advance

I know that cats can gain weight after spaying, and she has. Her nipples look bigger and she is producing milk. I know she was spayed on July 3, this year. I was there. (I worked in the vet's office and was in on the surgery.) But now, I'm wondering if the vet might have made a mistake, or what?

What is going on with her? Is this pseudopregnancy, and if so, how long is this going to continue?

My male cat (almost a year old) has what my husband and I have come to call toxic poo. He goes to the bathroom in his litter box and we can smell it across the house. He eats Purina Kitten Chow and drinks plenty of water. Is it what he is eating? Or is it just him?
