Well, I never got my cat to use a litter box he uses a toilet, all i did was get a bowl and put it in the toilet in the bowl i put some litter every time it scratched on the door it means it has to go, when he does this put him on the toilet and i waited a long time after a while he went in the bowl then i traded the bowl for a strainer and cut a small hole in the bottom of the strainer for droppings then after a while, i removed the strainer now he goes in the toilet but for this to work you have to be paitaint--your asking alot of your cat. Hope this helps.

Just put the litter box in an open area easy to find. Cats are the easiest to train! The adult will only need a few times.. just every once in a while.. like the first day put the adult into the box 3 times in the first hour.. and she will know where it is. the kittens, if thier really tiny, keep them in the area where the litter box is, until they can roam around the house, and be able to find their way back. put them into the box more times, and more often, like whenever you think about it. They should do fine.

Cats naturally know how to use a litter box. Just put them in the room where the litter box is for an hour or so and they will automatically know to go back to it. Also, make sure you clean it numerous times a day because if it gets too dirty, they will not use it.

The Mom cat should get the idea on her own. Just show her where the box is. Put the kittens in the box and show them by taking their front paws and make a digging motion. That's it.

How'd you like to litter box train your cat/kittens in 30 seconds? Interested? Well -- tell the following to everyone you know with the same concerns.

First of all, all dogs and cats have a sense of smell more evolved than ours. That means that your pet could pick you out of a line-up by your scent alone.

When I first got MY cat, she peed on my sofa. Knowing that pets will follow the "scent" of their owner, I got a napkin, hand blotted the area she'd peed, then pressed the wet napkin on top of her kitty litter. Of COURSE I washed my hands, and the pee out of the sofa.

Within a minute or two, she went DIRECTLY to the box, sniffed it, and used it. Never had a problem again. Human scent -- which we can't smell -- has a calming effect on troubled cats and dogs.

For example, my husband and I had just move, and I bought my puppy a new pillow to sleep on. She refused to touch it, so I took off my sweater, rubbed it all across the top of the pillow, and BOOM! She went right to it, sort of doggie-sighed, lay down and went to sleep.

I usually repeat this little trick every time I wash her bedding: dogs don't like foofoo smells like Bounce or Tide, or Cheer laundry detergent.... but MY scent makes her happy :)

Sounds like you've had your pets long enough for them to bond with you, so whenever you CAN, rub a sweater or whatever item you favor, on whatever you want her to use/play with/ feel comfortable with. Bedding, pillows, cat toys, etc. The litter box training also keeps your pet from using a cat play tower as a place to relieve itself. For the tower, you could just rub your hands up and down it's sides, and inside it. Oh, and you don't have to do any of this with food/water bowls -- your scent is there just by you touching it.

With my cats al we had to do was pick them up and bring them to it so they would know where it is. We did that a few times and then they got it. It really isn't hard.
