Recently my tom cat has been sleeping in the most strange places, normally he sleeps on the bed, but every 2/3 days he keeps changing where he sleeps, from windowsills, back of wardrobes, up on the high kitchen cupboards etc..
i was wondering if this may be some kind of sign or warning
i get paranoid sometimes but please reply, thanks for reading.

I was just checking my kitten over for any problems, and saw that his gums are rather pale should I be worried or is it normal in kittens?
P.S. Don't think I don't know anything about kittens it's just I haven't had one before!!

In TV i see vets kill astray dogs or cats because nobody claimed ownership and sick or old animals out of mercy.
Is that right ?

Hello,
We've had our cat a few months and he's still not confident on using his cat flap on his own. He tends to miaow very loudly at the back door to be let in instead.
We've tried holding titbits and treats each side of the cat flap to encourage him, but he appears nervous of pushing it himself (it's magnetic and make a 'snap' noise when it closes that I think scares him!).
Any advice? It'll be really nice when he gets the hang of it as he can then gain his complete independence!
Thanks in advance,..... :-)

Tonight I noticed my 7 yr old cat is hungry, but can't eat. With every attempt at eating, he spits up about a tablespoon of white/clear, frothy, mucousy saliva. I don't see any food in what he's spitting up, but it happens immediately after he tries to eat or even if he tries to just lick his food. He also spit up once when I picked him up and once when he was just relaxing. He still walks around, but doesn't seem interested in too much movement (totally unusual for him as he's usually VERY energetic, especially at night). If I hadn't seen him throw up, though, I wouldn't think anything was wrong (besides being a little more relaxed than usual) as his weight and his coat are fine. He also has a small bump near his left ear that looks like a bite of some sort. Larger than a flea bite, I'm thinking maybe a spider bite?

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Assuming it's a bite, what can I do to help him? I'm taking him to the vet if he's not better tomorrow, but in the meantime, what?

he is fully vaccinated but i don't have the sheet stating he is up to date on his shots!
i have no way of getting into contact with my old vet (closed now)
he is fixed so it's obvious he has been to a vet!
he has ear mites from our new kitten (who i can get treated)
but i don't have the money to get all of his vaccines re-done!
which would be a lot
what would a vet do in this kind of situation?
i don't want to hear that i should have more money if i want a cat because my fiance and i have fallen on tight times as of recently and we are just working the money situation out.

LoL he's getting so healthy, I'm so happy. He's such a little angel. If he's sleeping, and he does that quite a bit, he's recovering after all, and I nudge him, he'll whine in his sleep. Just make a little, whiny noise letting me know he didn't like that. If I bug him while he's sleeping he whines for a little while longer. And when he's playing, he does that a lot too, he just runs around and jumps at the air. It's so funny. I'm enjoying watching him get better. Tomorrow he has a check up! It's the critical point, we find out how he's doing

My kitten is a 5-month old male. he is very aggressive, does not enjoy petting most of the time, gets into everything, and meows a LOT, especially in the mornings. we have tried spraying him with water, we have tried swatting him (not hard) with a rolled up piece of paper, nothing works. he likes to chew on my very expensive college textbooks! he keeps us up at night playing and meowing very loudly. he bites hard and scratches and attacks us out of nowhere. i don't know what to do.

I have just brought home a 6 week old ginger kitten, i already have 2 male labradors and my kitten will kiss, growl and swat at my dogs all the time, will they ever get along or should i continue to have them near each other in small doses, the dogs stay outside, and i have only put the kitten in front of them a few times, with the same reaction each time.

I was reading in People magazine about this guy that shoots cats that are about to eat a bird.

Whether it's stray, feral or owned by someone else.

Do you think this is wrong or ok? Why or why not?

I rent a room in the basement and my cats live down there with me, I am gone during the day and I only have one window in the basement, light comes in the window during the daylight but when it gets towards evening and it gets dark out, the cats are left in total darkness and I am worried that they could get depressed from it. I know that humans can but I'm not sure about cats. I have recently started to leave a small lamp on during the day so they can have light when it gets dark. Am I worring for nothing?

I just got my friend a new kitten, and the woman I got him from said his eyes were a little irratated due to using carpet fresh in her home. The little kitty's eyes are crusty and the right one looks funky. Can carpet fresh do this? He smells just like it too.

I have a sic year old Tabby cat who keeps killing birds in our back yard, and then he brings them in the house. He decapitates them and leaves blood in the hall and its a rental so we can have blood in the carpet. We have a dog door which is how he keeps bringing the birds in , but we cant close it because we have a dog who needs to get out during the day while we are at work ( he needs to be let out a couple of times between 8 hours. and we dont have time to let the dog out on lunch breaks because of the drive their and back) Anyway, my question is , Can this be stopped? Is it a specfic thing that Tabbys do? Can anyone give me suggestions?

Please Help!

We love this cat very much and do not want to put him down but what will make him stop bringing the birds in the house. Is there a specific medicine that will stop this?????

Please Help!!!!!

I noticed fleas on my cat so I decided to treat it with some flea and tick killer. A couple of days after the treatment, I was combing through her coat (with flea comb) and noticed; for one there were still feas, and two there were a bunch of black specs that were showing up all over in her fur. My first assumption was flea eggs but I really have no clue. She is itching alot and I can tell that it is irritating her. Any suggestions

Ok i just got my kitty like about 1 week and some days ago.
It wasn't used to being with me because when i got it my little newphew opened the door and it got out. My kitty would come to my house but only for food and when i get near it it goes away. It doesn't have a name so i can't call it. Should i just keep trieing to make it get near me or what should i do ? ? ?
