It will just take a little time.
I have a Lab that 2 cats control. No need to worry.

My guess is the poor thing is afraid. Your kitten is very young to be separated from its family. First rule of introductions is be patient. You have the right idea to limit their time together to small doses for the time being. You might also rub your dogs with a towel and then put the towel where the kitten spends the most time. That will get the kitten used to the dogs' smell, which should help. I would also suggest that you introduce one dog at a time - begin with the least excitable one, and allow the kitten to approach the dog rather than the dog approach the kitten. Another option would be to wait until the kitten is about 12 weeks old - by that time it will have grown some and gained some confidence and start again. purrs

Keep an eye on them at all times when they're together, for the kitten's safety. If the dogs are easy-going and don't act aggressive towards the kitten, the kitten will eventually get over it. Both of my cats hissed at the dog initially and I just ignored them and let the dog hang around (this dog is super submissive and the least aggressive dog on the planet, she just sat there with her ears back and tail between her legs looking nervous while the kitten cautiously approached her) and they're both fine with her now.
Cats are smart - even as kittens they can recognise another predator. However, once your kitten realises the dogs are no danger, he'll come around and reveal his curiosity about these giant, funny-smelling creatures. :)

I have owned my cat a long time and got my dog about 3 years ago and they still don't get along. They try not to be in the same room at the same time but sometimes they are and the dog tries to run after her but she just hisses and tries to scratch at the dog think she is just protecting herself. Not sure the dog would ever hurt her but the cat seems to always think so. SO in my experiance it is just the way it is that they will never get along but they know they have to live with each other lol Hope this helped and good luck and congrats on the new kitty.

make sure that you let the cat know that you will always protect her. when you have her with the dogs, stand next to the kitten NOT the dogs (this will also make the dogs see that the kitten is under the Alpha's protection and therefore off-limits) Have the kitten on a low table or your lap, so that she's more at eye level with the dogs....i have two cats and a slightly spastic Siberian husky and the cats HATED the dog at first(the dog kept trying to lick them) but its been ten months now since i introduced them and they get along alright now. good luck

some will get along, some wont.
i had a cat and dog when i was a kid. at the first meeting, the dog sniffed the cats butt, the cat swung around and scratched the dog. next day, dog sneaked up behind the cat, stretched his neck forward , poked the cat in the butt and then pulled back very quickly. the cat swung around and missed, because the dog allowed for it. the cat would take a step forward, the dog would back up, the cat would turn to leave, and the dog would poke him again. the cat would pretend to leave then swing around and try to get the dog while he was still stretching forward. dog would have to try to pull back and duck.
this went on all day long. for years. i wouldnt call it getting along, but they did learn how to annoy each other.
i have had other cats and dogs that slept together.

Our new kittens have been separated from our older cats for a pair of week. We closed them off in a single edge of the living house. there grow to be sufficient room below the door for all of the cats to sniff one yet another, and play "footsie" below the door. After a week, we've been waiting to enable everybody be mutually. between the older cats tries to teach his dominance each and every now after which with the aid of leaping on one or the different of the extra youthful cats and preserving him down, yet there have been no genuine squabbles among them. maximum web content will recommend isolating them for a whilst, and consistent with possibility switching out their places. to illustrate: placed the recent kitty in a secure room with the aid of itself with nutrients, water, toys, clutter container for numerous days.
