eerrr no. I mean one little accidental taste will not hurt him but your cat should not have it on any kind of regular basis. do not let your cat have anything with garlic, onions, scallions... in the onion family. There is an enzyme in vegetables in the onion family which thins the walls of their blood cells and can actually harm them.

If it is accidental that is one thing but if you let the cat have human food not knowing what harm it could do and then asked the question on a public forum then you should not own an animal. It sounds like you are not fit to take care of yourself.

A small taste won't hurt, but not a lot. I am always sharing my food with my cat. She loves just about everything that I eat. I don't go over board with it tho. I let her have a taste here and there. She's 13 years old and is quite healthy, happy and spoiled rotten too!

It's probably not the best thing for your cat but it won't hurt him/her. I eat salads a lot and use ranch or blue cheese and mine hover around like they are dying to eat some. My Chloe likes salad but only if it is covered in dressing. My cat Emily who lived 14 years also enjoyed salad covered in dressing. They seem to want to eat anything I am eating. My cats have eaten everything from scrambled eggs to Doritos. I also give them a taste of whatever I am eating. I think it makes them feel included in it all.

i've heard that garlic and/or onions are not good for cats and may even be fatal. do not give that to him. if you feel you need to spice up his diet and make it more flavorful, just opt for a can of fancy feast or some chicken treats here and there. (no soft food too often). human food is for humans and cat food is for cats. simple.

garlic is really bad for cats, it can cause certain types of anemia (spelling, sorry!) however...if its just a lick now and then i'm sure it won't hurt. i often put my dinner plate on the floor when i'm finished and one or other of my cats will usually come over to sniff what's left. if there's butter or mayonaise they will clear it up!

i don't advocate the feeding of our foods to cats but, like i say, a little now and then never hurt my cats (one of whom is 14 and going strong!)

yeah maybe just a lick...but not to eat. Cats should generally not eat human food unless it is meat or cheese. Take Care fellow cat lover.
