hi sweetie.Yes she when I had to have my dobie after a long fulll life of 15 years down,I had her cremated.I am so sorry for ur loss.Shadow came in a lil urn about 6-7 inches high and was made of a ceramic type material. And it was sealed.I had thought about replacing her and putting her into a nicer Urn.But I also thought I didnt want to lose any piece of her or disturb her.Plus I know I would only cry alot if I did.Shadows Urn and she was a beautiful dobie weighs about 3 pounds. They dont give u all the ash's from where I am from.It might be different in ur state and with ur vet. They gave me a beautiful memorial card and Death certificate.I am so sorry .But Now Mog is over the rainbow bridge and Is so happy.Trust me I honestly belive that.

I'm sorry to hear about Mog, sounds like a sweet cat. Animal urns can go from small containers that don't cost much. Up to the elaborate ones that are quite expensive. The crematorium will put her ashes in a small, attractive container that won't cost too much. And the container will be sealed as well. If you ever wanted to get another container, that you could to also. I hope this helps.

The type of urns vary from crematorium to crematorium, but it should be sealed. Some will let you pick a more decorative urn if you choose. When my dog died I wasn't in any shape to chose an urn, so he came back in a plastic rectangular small box with leaves emboss on top of it. My husband's dog came back in a sealed gold metal rectangle tin.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. It will get easier.
There are urns specialized for cats. I just purchased a small "human" one that I thought was beautiful and was perfect size for my cat's ashes :( tied inside a velvet pouch. It is real marble in a beautiful design with pewter legs, and costed me only $180. I would look around for whatever catches your fancy. Some people even make their own. My sister found a beautiful vase/urn thing in a Ross that she placed her cat's ashes and some cat toys inside. Whatever fits you and your kitty.

I'm in central CA and my vet sent my kitty to a place in Valencia to be cremated privately. Her ashes came back (about a cup worth) double baggied inside a cedar box wth a lock and key, and a certificate.
I'm sorry for your loss.

Our Siamese came back to us in a box the size of an orange. There won't be much, it won't be 'ashes' it'll be bone fragments. Ours weren't sealed, just placed in a plastic bag inside a box.

iv had 3 of my animals cremated..inc my lil cat poppy..and she sits on my tele in a wooden casket..like a mini coffin, i wanted to make sure she was individully cremated so c.p.c let me watch in a seperate room(option they offer to those who opt for indiv. cremation)..yes it will be sealed..from the bottom, if you look under the casket it will have green or brown baize covering the bottom with 4 lil screws and you should hve a lil gold plaque on the top with the animals name , i had, like i say poppy done , my gsd(10years back) and one of my yorkies xxx
