My kitten went missing not so long ago and after an agonising search for her, I finally found her 2 days later trapped down an alley way.
Since then she hasn't stopped bringing small birds into the house and putting them down infront of me. The only thing is, the birds are still alive and obviously in a lot of stress. I know she is most likely doing this as a 'thank you' present for finding her, but I don't want her doing this anymore. Is there any way I can stop her?

Is there anything I need to know or do in order to make sure that our cat will not miss us and be properly cared for while we are away. (besides making sure that someone goes over to check on her)

Stronghold is supposedly a treatment for ear mites too. But a friend told me that it is not enough, that they need treatment in the ear. Is Dexoryl OK? And for how long?

We've not actually got her yet. We're getting a kitten from my friend in about 6 weeks; she's small, even for a kitten, and has black fur. Any name ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks xxx

I found my kitten around 5-6 weeks old. Now at about 10 weeks old he started to come running to me crying. He has to jump in my lap (and countinues to meow constatnly), and tries to get as close to my face as possible. He also likes to lick me and suck on me A LOT!! I have noticed he does the licking and sucking more when he is tired; he kneeds too and it seems to put him to sleep.

I was wondering why is he starting to do this now? Why does he also want to be near my face?

I lost my husband 3 months ago and now I'm living at my brothers place with my two cats. I have to move out of here but have no where to take my cats too. I've had them since they were born and they are now 13 years old. It would break my heart to lose them as well what should I do?

This morning I found a cat that had been hit by a car and was struggling to reach a puddle of water to drink some.... it was crawling on its front legs only, but I thought there would be some hope and called a vet. But the vet said her backbone was fractured, she was paralyzed from the waist, and would starve to death in a matter of days or weeks, depending on how much she would manage to crawl for food....
I asked whether there was anything to do for her, he said that we could keep her alive for a while, but she would be like a disabled person, not able to move or control the lower part of her body, and that eventually, if no one adopted her, she would die in great suffering...
So I paid him and asked him to put her to sleep. It was a homeless cat, she must have had a very tormenting life, I thought the least she deserved was a painless death....
But now I have doubts... did I do the right thing? Wasn't there a better option for the poor cat?...
Please give me your honest answers...

I have 3 cats, two of which are male and one female. all 3 of these cats love sitting on my table only when it has a table cloth on it.. which is not good . I don't want to harm them but I want them to stop sitting on the table..for good. How would I go about stopping them from sitting on the table without injuring them or making them hate me?

we just noticed a few minutes ago; it appears as though one of his claws was ripped out. blood isn't actually coming FROM it, it seems kind of pooled up in the space where the claw was, or hardened or something -- i'm not keen on touching it to see what consistancy it is.

anyway, he doesn't seem so upset -- he's sleeping away, curled up on the chair. my mother also wasn't very concerned at all, just disturbed since, well, she finds that sort of thing disturbing.

i really doubt this calls for, like, vet care or anything,
but i need to know,
should i help him in some way? put something on it or something? i can't even tell if he's in pain, does it hurt?

For my entire life, my parents wouldn't let me get a pet. (Besides fish). The main reason was that we went traveling way too much.

Now that I'm going to be a sophmore in high school, I don't think there's going to be much traveling around. But even when I ask now, they still say that we travel too much.

How do I persuade my strict parents to let me get a cat?
Do you think adding that I would pay for everything/hold all responsibility would dramatically help my argument?

A year ago, I adopted a very sick sphinx, she was nearly dead and skin and bones. All her teeth were rotted and had to be pulled and then I found she has stomatitis. At first I had to get her steroid shots every other week. Now she only has a flair up (drooling, lethargic, not eating) every 8 weeks or so. Has anyone else had any treatment for their cat that has worked for them? She looks 100% better than when I first got her, but these episodes are terrible for her.

I have a 17 year old cat that has been diagnosed with cancer (fibrosarcoma). The tumor is on the upper jaw left side. It has progressed to the point where surgery is not an option. The vet has said the only possible treatment is steroids, which we have been giving him. We are also trying some herbal remedies (IP6 and Maitake Mushroom) to help slow the growth of the tumor.

He has developed nose bleeds from the expanding tumor. Those we have managed to control. But tonight he has begun to bleed from the mouth. Is there anyway to stop the bleeding from the mouth?

He is still active and able to eat on his own. He is not indicating he is in pain either.
