Thats extremely normal, Id worry if my cats didnt do that. If a moth flies in the house, its dead within 10 seconds...sometimes they go out on the porch and catch tree frogs. Gross but true.

Sure; dogs, cats, any predator will eat a bug, including humans. Beetles, worms, grubs, grasshoppers, etc. are commonly eaten in Asia, South America, Africa... It's just in Western culture that we've developed an aversion. They are a good source of proteins and other nutrients.

Its perfectly normal. You should know that a cat is a born hunter and obviously it would pounce upon anything it finds intruiging. After all the cat belongs to the family of lions and tigers!!!!!!!!!! I can say that because I have 5 cats in my home.

Tubsy, a cat I watched for a friend for two months, cleared my house of bugs in no time, anything that made it in the crappy screens he'd eat. I miss him, there is a fly I can't catch, and Turkish doesn't seem to care :(

In Florida, we have geckos and my cats watch them out the windows. Once in a while one gets into the house and one of my cats attacks them and eats them. I can't stop it because he is so insistent and runs from me with the lizard in his mouth. I hate it and it has only happened twice but I try to ensure it doesn't happen again. I think it is instinct or play, but for the lizard it means death.

Yes, all cats try to kill them mostly, they don't really eat them. They may eat them sometimes, so it's best not to let them, because you never know what diseases or insecticides those bugs have on them. They are really funny though when they play with them! My cats also kill every fly that passes by.

Lol...my cat always does that. Be careful what you let her it though...something could be poisonous. If she eats a bug, just watch her for a few hours for any strange behaviour.

Yeah my cat routinely bug hunts around the house. If you thought your house didn't have mice you are going to realize you have some.

They are just playing with it. Hunters-Instinct will say to them "Okay, hunt down that bug, and meal is served!" Haha. I know weird.

It wouldn't be normal if your cat DIDN'T try to eat it, lol.
