Stronghold is supposedly a treatment for ear mites too. But a friend told me that it is not enough, that they need treatment in the ear. Is Dexoryl OK? And for how long?

The vet told me to use the Stronghold spot-on. But i wonder if it works well or do I need to use some other thing too, from your experience.

Xristina, this question of yours answers the other one you just asked: You usually ask questions that only an experienced Vet can answer....

I would not use any thing from the store to treat ear mites . You need to get your dog into a vet asap . He could also have an ear infection . If it goes untreated it can cause deafness , a lot of pain and irritation . The vet can give you a good ear mite lotion .

I'd get something from the vet and don't let it go. I saw what happens to a cat with severe ear mites. They can get into the inner ear and cause the cat to lose their sense of balance as well as their hearing. My vet had a cat like this at the clinic for years, poor thing.
(I'm not joking, this is true and it was sad to see.)

My dog had ear mites. I strongly recommend a vet.
