The 'tape monster' worked for us. However if you have a bird feeder outside, even that won't help.
We used that 2" wide clear packing tape (don't use duct tape). Get a large roll, pull out and cut pieces about 12 inches long and lay them sticky side up randomly on the table.
Any cat jumping up gets stuck to, and they usually can't pull it off by themselves (let them wear it for 15 minutes at least, then hlep them get it off). They'll associate sticky tape with the table and since they can't see up there before they jump to the top (keep the chairs pushed in!) they leave the table top alone.
This kept ours off the bookshelf tops (we have 6' tall ones), off the computer console and off the top of the aquarium. When they stop springing the 'traps', you can put the tape away.

i have the same problem too where my cats love climbing the table whenever they smell food served on it. try to make their attention go off from the table, like try playing with them or give'em toys to play with. that way, they'll forget to sit on d table. however, cats are like humans; stubborn and yes sometimes i don't prevent them to do anything they want bcoz they'll get bored easily & eventually will try something new..

Get a small squirt gun and squirt them every time or get a can filled with beans or s amll plastic egg and shake it every time they get on it. Best bet is pick them up and set them down and tell them no. Is the table in front of a window, if so they like the heat also like the height.

You could try putting aluminun foil on it. If you use the water bottle, try not to let them see you. They should associate getting sprayed with jumping on the table, not you catching them on the table. Try this link for other ideas.

while you at the instant are not used to it, it does injury. truthfully maximum folk do no longer try this lots anymore or perhaps jap whinge approximately it or make relaxing of it. i've got considered some humorous comedy skits the place human beings's legs have fallen asleep and that they commence poking the guy in front of them, inflicting much greater intense discomfort.

I've heard you can take a spray bottle, the misting type, and just give them a squirt, that usually helps. Not too much tho, or don't overdo it. Good luck!

Spray them with a water bottle. When you see them on your table, just give them a spritz. It won't hurt them it will just send a message to them. Also, when you spray them say no at the same time.
