I was at Petsmart the other day and saw this tool called the Furminator for $34.95. It is for deshedding either cats or dogs. Has anyone tried it and is it worth the money? I would be using it for my cats.

If a standard electric fence had to shock a fully-grown male cat, is it possible for it to kill him? Or what injuries could he sustain?
In the event of it happening, what would be the best method to treat him?

My darling cat, throws up. Maybe once or twice a month, maybe an hour after he eats. He is on the same food, (the expensive high quality kind from petco) I have been giving him from day one. Should I be concerned?

I need to relocate my cat to Bali. Would someone be able to point me in the right direction to start with? Should I call the airlines? The embassy?

Hi! I had to go to petco to get some things for my cat and my fishes and when I got into my room my cat was swimming in my 50 gallon fishtank eating all of my fish! I hurried and got her out and she had eaten all of my fish! I was wondering if she is going to be ok because she swallowed tons of water and has been throwing up, coughing, and diahrea! I am really scared and am wondering if I should take her to the vet! Thx :(

My cat had kittens and they are now 7 weeks old. There were 3 females and 1 male. For the last week the mother has been fighting very badly with her son. They take it in turns who starts it but it is mostly the mother. But its odd, because she still feeds him and plays with him but then all of a sudden she turns on him. She does not attack any of the females. We were wanting to keep the male but if they keep fighting we are not sure. Whats the best thing we can do to stop them from fighting. Its actually like she is trying to kill him. Thanks for your answers

I love my cat. We have had it for 6 years and he is so cuddley and wonderful.

BUT......

1) He has destroyed my couch with his nails and I fear to even think about buying a new couch.
2) His kitty litter is such a pain to keep clean/changed.
3) I live in a apt with no elevator and I have to buy huge bags of litter and cat food and get them up three flights.
4) I love black clothes and his hair is ALWAYS on everything I own. I feel like a mess. All in my closet and drawers.
5) I have a severe reation to flea bites and atleast once a year we get a problem with fleas. Makes me insane.
6) He vomits up his food on my living room carpet once or twice a month.
7) And my last allergy test says I have a moderate allergy to cats.

I am so torn. My daughter is 12 and the cat is everything to her.

My mother in-law has had a couple of litters of kittens under her mobile home which is open under the front. We are going to close it up this summer to stop the cats from living under there, but she was wondering if there was a product on the market that one could spray on the ground under her trailer as the pee smell is starting to come up through into her home...it stinks!! Has anyone heard of anything to keep cats from peeing and pooping in an outside area?
