I have a 14+ year old cat that has arthritis in her hind legs (which I have been giving her treatments for the last 4 years to make her comfortable). When I took her in she was very overweight (18 pounds) and through monitoring her food intake she lost the excess weight and started behaving like a healthy kitty (arthritis doesn't bother her anymore and she can leap onto furniture). In the past few months she has begun to start refusing her dry food so I've started giving her twice what I used to give her in only wet food. She still behaves healthy but now weighs only 6 pounds and I can feel her spine. I can't afford any extreme medical expenses (especially since she is so old) and she is not suffering based on her behavior (she's actually getting spoiled now). Any ideas on how I can fatten her up a little bit?

The cat also has dry skin (white specks) which brush off with hair. the black dots are attached to the base of the hair. I don't see any little critters running around. Thanks.

I have a 10 years old cat, he has had brown spots in both eyes for a few years now, I just started noticing that they were getting bigger. They look almost like they are deep within his eyes. Should I get him to a vet? Or will this not harm him? And what are they?

We have three male cats, and they are all neutered. We recently got a female kitten. Because females don't spray, and the boys are all neutered, is it ok to leave her un-neutured, or will this cause problems? All cats in question are strictly indoors cats.

My cat is being treated for ringworm and it's gotten better on the bottom of her nose... however, she has a lump on the middle part of her nose which seems to be getting larger and harder. Any ideas what this could be? Maybe the ringworm?? she is being treated for it, for about 3 weeks now.

My cat needs to gain a 3-5 lbs...he likes to eat but often has a hard time keeping food down. My thinking is that maybe there's some high-calorie, low-volume, treats out there which I can give him one per hour or something like that.

i am worried about him because he hasn't had an appetite and is very thin right now. i know he has had a rough couple of weeks.... coming from a home with too many cats and having the UTI, (which he is still taking antibiotics for) he caught the cold once he got to our house... probably because the change in atmosphere. he has only eaten 3 times since he got here 5 days ago and threw up 2 of the 3 meals..... should i be really worried, or are cats resilient.... will he bounce back once the UTI and cold have run their course? how long do UTI's last before the cat feels better??

I am stuck in the same room with my cat all night, and there is no compromise. He gets in my bed and starts clawing me, purring, and BEGGING for attention several times throughout the night. I ignore him and push him away, but then he just gets worse. I've made sure he has food and a clean litterbox in here, and it's not at all a small room. I lose ALOT of sleep because of him. What should I do?

The cat is about 1 year old or so. He has been mainly an indoor cat. He escaped about 24 hours ago. We looked for several hours yesterday with no luck. We have a live trap from the animal shelter set up. We set out some food and sprinkled catnip around the area. My major concern is that a bad winter storm is approaching this area. It is supposed to snow 1" - 3" tonight and then an additional 5"- 8" tomorrow.
Any other advice or hints?

I've got a kitten..somewhere around 8 mos. old..she has started doing a really crazy thing lately. She is going over to her water and food dishes and pawing at the ground around them and she paws the water dish itself. The problem with this is she is spilling her water all over the floor. Any ideas on why she is doing this and what I can do to get her to quit it? Thanks!!

My male cat, it seems since he was a kitten has a re-occuring worm problem that returns every 4-6 weeks. When I notice this problem, I mix one of those hartz worm tablets in the cat food for a couple of meals....and the problem returns in about a month, sometimes less. Meanwhile, my female cat does not seem to have a worm problem at all. Suggestions? What is going on?
Why just him, they both have the same diet...I keep fresh water and dry food out all day, and the two of them split one can of Cat food in the AM and one can in the PM.

Im looking for a Femail BSH kitten (younger than 1yr), I have tryed a number of petshops and the animal rescue centre at Hyde but with no luck. I have looked on the internet too but people want £300 each which i cant afford.I would pay up to £50 (£50 only if it has been neutured), I have everything ready for the new kitten as i thought i was getting one today. I do not always have access to a car so i would either need the cat bringing to me OR for it to be in easy access by public transport. Thankyouvery much Kittyb x
