Some products can be bought to deter the cat from going to that area.... I have also heard that cats do not like the smell of vinegar so that may work as well.
Make sure that the kitty is not doing this because of a health problem like kidney issues or a UTI. Could also be a litter box issue or the cat may not like the brand of litter in its box..... hope this gives you some ideas...... hope the cat stops as I understand the frustration of having a cat that marks different places.....
Another idea is get her fixed maybe? This may help?!?!?
Good Luck!

Hi
I would try giving the area a good clean with biological washing powder mixed up into a liquid. It has to be biological as the enzymes will break down any nasty pongs. I always used to put surgical spirit into it too, I cannot remember why - I saw a vets program and they said to do it but you might not have any in the cupboard!!
Don't rub her nose in it that wont work. You could try a gentle squirt of water when she heads off there but I would be very careful with water around a TV and I personally wouldn't!!
You could try feeding there if that is practical. I also used to put down aluminium foil as cats don't like walking on it.
You can get sprays/plug ins from the vet to make them feel more secure but I never found them much good Felt-away or something like that.
Is one of the other cats picking on her - my cat used to do it when he was feeling insecure and a neighbours cat came in? It could be that she is unwell - you could try taking her to the Vet if these things don't work.
Hope that helps.

In any good pet store you can get a can of stuff to spray that will deter your cats from going into that corner. She's obviously developed a habit, and there must be some residual scent in that corner. If you haven't already I'd suggest changing the floor covering there, before you spray it.

If she is the most recent addition to your cat family it could be a stress issue. Same holds true if she is the only female in a group of males. You may want to get her checked by your vet for a possible urinary or bladder infection. She could be trying to tell you something if this is a newer behavior. But my vet recommeded retraining by placing the litter box in the place where she is peeing and gradually moving it to where you want her to go. Treat the area with a enzymatic cleaner, and you have to saturate the area, not just spray the surface of the carpet. Hope this helps a bit.

You need to make sure that the area behind your TV has no trace of her urine smell left. The only way to do this is to wash the carpet area with biological washing powder- it has to be biological as well as it breaks down an enzyme in cat urine. Once the smell has gone try putting a little bowl of biscuits in the area- cats don't like to urinate or defecate anywhere near their food and if she starts to associate that area with her cat biscuits she should leave well alone. Good luck!

This remedy worked for me...use purified water add the same amount of rosemary oil and thyme oil to a spray bottle and spray the area 2 times a day for a week, then 1 time a day for a week then 2-3 times a week...This is a natural way to detour you cat from peeing and they naturally stay away from the scent. It worked on my 6 year old cat from peeing on my chair, he would use that instead of his clean box...silly boy...anyway this worked and I swear by it! and it doesn't smell bad either! Good luck!

Vinegar will clean out the area real good to the point that she will not recognize the spot and that is why she probably continues to go back and squirt that corner. Try Moth Balls to keep her away from the back of the tv

i had the exact same problem. firt of all you need to really really thoroughly clean the area as they can still smell the slightest bit. once you have done this put lemon juice down and whan that dries put really fine pepper on the floor. they hate the smell of lemon juice and pepper gets up their nose. just to be on the safe side when you catch her squirt her with water it does take time but she will get used to not going behind there. it takes 28 days to break a habit which can be applied to many things not just this. just make sure you percivere.
hope this helps and good luck let me know how it goes

Do u mean peeing if so is what you do is just pop on the but once or twice every time she does it so she'll know better to do it after a while. Just don't pop to hard. My cat Fat Cat, used to always get up on my counter and go pea but after I popped her quite a few times, she quit but we took her after we popped her and put her in the new cat litter box, so she got use to it and it taught her to ware she knew where she is really suppose to use it.
