We have three male cats, and they are all neutered. We recently got a female kitten. Because females don't spray, and the boys are all neutered, is it ok to leave her un-neutured, or will this cause problems? All cats in question are strictly indoors cats.

It will cause her health problems later in life. Also even strictly indoor cats can get outside. Do not tell me you are infallible and will NEVER EVER make a mistake and a cat will get out. If you say that then I know you're a pretty new cat owner. Unless your cats are physically tied to your house, there is no guarantee they will never get out. If your girl gets out, it will most likely be when she is in heat because at that time she'll be trying harder. I can almost guarantee that if you have any stary males in your neightborhood that your girl will come back pregnant. Think of the hassles of feeding a pregnant kitty then taking care of her babies than finding homes for all of them. All because you didn't spay her. Also her actions while in heat will annoy you. It's not worth it. PLEASE SPAY YOUR CAT. You will be thankful later for the saved vet bills.

Also, females do not get neutered, they get spayed.

Is there a reason you dont want to get her spayed? While not all cats are horrible when in heat, ( i didnt even know my cat had gone into heat twice before she got pregnant) spayed cats tend to be more affectionate and calm. They dont have the instincts that a breeding female has. Also, the neighborhood cats will know shes in heat, even though she is strictly indoors.

Females do spray and it's actually worse than a male cat. Not getting her spayed wont cause and problems between the other cats but when she comes into heat she will holler and try to get out. It would probably be better is you did get her spayed as well.

yes and no. yes because when the female is in heat it not pretty and its get really annoying she howls and toots her butt in the air most of the time. U may see that the males want to breed with her and they might fight but even if they attempt to breed with her she wont get pregnant. U may want to get her spayed because when in heat the females will do anything to breed. She might run out of the house when you walk in or out and about 3-5 days later come back pregnant. So its best for u just to get her spayed.

I agree, have you ever seen a female cat in heat?. You might think it is cute but after months of purring, loud meowing all night long, rolling all over the house and outdoor cats peeing at your door you will think differently.

This will stress out your other cats, they will feel they need to protect the place from the cats outside and will start peeing. You don't want this sort of problem, get kitty spayed.

for many puppy canine proprietors having their b*tch spayed or canine castrated as quickly because it has accomplished its psychological & skeletal progression is a robust concept as that is going to stay away from unplanned litters, stay away from a b*tch bobbing up pyometra & have an impression on hormone pushed habit simply by fact the testosterone point in a canine reduces over the years. What I do take concern with is the fact that some people attempt to ram their opinion that spay/castrate is the only to blame path of action down the throats of folk who're able to possessing intact canine & prefer the liberty to settle on what's interior the final pastime of their very own canine or b*tch. I presently very own a 4-twelve months-previous intact canine that has by no ability sired a clutter, does no longer roam or show unacceptable habit simply by fact he became obedience experienced from a doggy, and has a sluggish & valuable character. After studying the well being reward & detrimental aspects of castration, I evaluated the advice & deduced from the information that the well being reward for a canine weren't as compelling as those for a b*tch, so desperate to depart him intact. I make the determination on what happens to my canine & i do no longer anticipate to have a say, except asked in what different persons legally do to their canine.

Spay the cat.

When she's in heat, she'll be trying everything she can to get outside, and eventually she will succeed, no matter how careful you are.

Not spaying her also increases her risk of certian types of cancer and other health problems. There is absolutly no good reason not to get an animal spayed unless you are a professional breeder.

Once she goes into heat, she will drive you crazy with meowing and howling from frustration. Unspayed female cats also have a 70% higher risk of getting cancer.

oi vey my friend. you are going to have sleepless nights.
whenver your little girl is in heat (which can be every like, 3 months if she's not covered), she will be yowling and meoiwing like you cant believe. and not a nice little kitten mieow. oh no! a yowl like she's being killed.
and all your boys, whether they got nuts or not, will be harrasing her, trying to cover her, fighting with each other, biting her.
and her inviting scent will waft under your doors, and invite every male around to sit outside your windows and doors, and sing her love songs till dawn.
you yourself a favour. have her spayed. you wont be sorry.
