This is natural when your cat cares for you. She is showing you she is a good provider. You should take it as the highest of compliments from your kitty. Praise her, give her some love, and quietly dispose of the critter. My cat likes to be outside alot too. Now that we live in a rural area I let him out whenever he wants. He doesn't even mind sub zero temperatures and he loves the snow. I feed him more than I did when we lived in an apartment. When he wants kitty food or love and attention, he comes in. Sometimes he will go upstairs where it is warmer and sleep for hours. Then he wants outside to run around, do his business, and sometimes bring be "gifts". Your kitty is very smart. Feel blessed to have her.

You should be thankful that your cat is killing the mice! That way they aren't coming into your house! It is quite normal behavior for a cat to bring mice that she's killed to you, b/c she is doing it to please you. She brings the mice to you as if to say "Look, what I have done for you, aren't you proud?" Cats are by nature a predator of mice, so she isn't doing anything wrong here. And it's also quite normal for a cat or dog to love being outdoors; it is, after all, their natural habitat. On bad weather days, keep your cat in with some indoor toys to occupy her.

Cats naturally chase mice. But the fact that she is bringing them to you is actually a good thing from her (yuck!). She might be trying to show you she is doing a good job or bringing you a present. Don't know how to make her stop. Good luck.

Who rules the roost? You determine when your cat goes in and out. Grow a pair and make the cat do what you want her to do.

Secondly...let her keep catching mice in the garden, then they're not in the house.

if she is lucky enough to have a garden to play in, you should let her play her little heart out. make sure she's got some kind of identification on her, just incase she wanders off or gets hurt.
the mice are gifts for you, she like a kid showing off. you should feel honoured. when she gets older, she'll just lay around vegetating, and you'll wish she'd be more active.
she's a normal, happy cat.
as long as she got your love, she'll be fine.

sounds like your cat is a great hunter. She is bringing them in for you because she loves you. Keep her in during bad weather is a good idea. it sounds like she does not eat them she just likes to hunt for you. Do you ever go out with her where she hunts? maybe you could scare all the mice away.

It means that she loves you and she wants you to be proud of her. She is giving you gifts! I feel bad for the poor mice, but she is a cat and that's what cat's do. Don't get mad at her, she is bringing them to you because she loves you!
