I find this funny but also am taking this serius too. This is sooo normal and nothing to worry about unless there were poisonous fish in there. A cat will hunt and cats do like fish. She is throwing up and having diarhea because this is foreign to her system (usually has cat chow) but it will be o.k. She is probably with an upset stomach anyways from goign so crazy in a frenzy in the water anyways. She might of been scared of drowning as most cats are not able to get out of a tank once they dive in. Many do drown. Keep that in mind. Next time, make sure you have some way fixed it so the cat cannot get inside at all. The best way is a metal screen that secures completely to the top. There is no need for a vet at this point but call him or her if it worsens or does not clear up in 48 hours. I am a former animal voluteer rescuer and so I have seen just about it all. This is not uncommon. Infact, you have a hunter on your hands. Lucky you, you'll probably be mouse free as long as she is around! Try finding a hunting outlet for her though. Perhaps a string or wind up furry mouse for her to chase every day might feed that need of hers. Just dry her off and give her lots of assuring love for now, and let the next 48 hrs have nature take its course. She'll be fine.

LOL! Sorry, that's the funniest one I've heard in a while. It's probably good she's throwing up so she doesn't digest all those fish and the tank water. I would contact a vet if she doesn't improve within an hour or two.
Keep a secure lid on your tank if you get more fish. Hope your kitty feels better soon!

I would take her to the vet, especially if you put chemicals in your fish tank. The food that the fish eat also could be unsafe for a cat. I would get the cat checked out just to make sure. And I would get a lid for your fish tank!

If I were you, I'd take her to the vet. She could be fine with little-to-no medical intervention, but it's better to be safe than sorry. I've kept aquariums before and I know all about the bacteria and chemicals that can be present in one....not to mention in the fish themselves. So it would be better to get her checked out. Good luck!

Have you ever considered covering the fish tank....cats are a bit curious...and i bet the fish were just so damn tempting. But give your vet a call, they will probably want to see it.

The cat will most likely be OK. I'd observe her for a while and see how she does then take her to the vet if she doesn't improve

I would watch her for an hour or so, and if she isn't up and around, and is still throwing up, I would definately take her to the vet.
