let's see, my cat tells me to; clean the cat box, feed me, look at ME and pet me. I beat him to the punch though and ask him if he was waiting for me, are you hungry?, what did you do all night (I work graveyard shift) did you miss me? ETC. She's just wanting to interact with you, and she LOVES you.

Yep, happy to see you, conversing with you about her day and asking about yours. Probably asking what's for dinner, too. :) Talk back to her, see if she'll let her meows fall into the pattern of conversation. I'm home all the time now, but I have "conversations" with my cats regularly.

My kitty does that too. He also does it when he's in a different room from me and wants attention. He's a talkative little fella. It's adorable. I think it's his way of saying "Mom, pay attention to me!"

She's greeting you, telling you how her day went, and telling you she's hungry. Mine two cats do it too.

It means, "I'm so relieved to see you!" or "How was the hunting today?" or "Did you bring me dinner?" or "What took you so long?"
