Siamese cats were bred to be territorial because they were bred to guard temple grounds and the treasures found there. Some of the Siamese cats males that have been bred true can weigh 30 lbs and would attack intruders who were invading their territory. Imagine a thirty lb cat leaping onto your face from a tree and delivering 6 to 10 rapid rakes of the hind legs to the throat area in less than 5 sec and then gone. The hind legs are armed with 10 1.5 centimeter claws that are considerably sharper than a razor. If you get that treatment and live you have lost interest in anything but a great doctor. Other cats are prey!

no, I don't think their mean. Maybe a bit Territorial. But most cats are. Also beware that Siamese can be VERY loud. But I think that Siamese are probably one of the most loyal breeds.

Siamese are cool cats...we've got two of them. I would say living with a siamese is similar to having an angry infant in the house...for years. They cry all night long sometimes...

Not mean, just intelligent and full of h_ _ _ !
Btw, I've never owned one because I like to keep my drapes in one piece.
If you have one, you should always get another. They do better in pairs and love company. That way they will have an "accomplice" to blame it on when they decide to get into trouble.

No, I don't think so. They are very territorial though. And they are very loud if someone gets in what they perceive to be their territory.
