What can I do? She has never done this before. I recently noticed a smell of urine and a smell of poop but I couldn't find it. I found the poop in my plant a few minutes ago and she is peeing behind my computer. Please help!

I have an appointment to get her spayed on Feb 15. (I had to wait a bit until after we got our tax return). Anyway, she just went into heat for the 1st time and she has been pacing around purring/crying/howling for 2 days now. I tried the q tip method and it didnt work bcuz she is still walking around calling loudly. Did I do it wrong? I don't really want to have to do it again i was very grossed out.

The law is clearly on my side, but so many people refuse to keep their cats indoors. What can I politically do or say to get my neighbors to keep their cats indoors before I have to start trapping cats and turning them over to the authorities?

My cat (male) recently had his ears 'round out', (for lack of a better description), whereas before they were pointy, at the ends and then two days ago the hair on the tips turned white (he is black). He is only 2 years old and I have no idea why this happened... any clue???

My BF has 3 declawed cats and we are talking about moving in. However, Bigfoot ( my only cat of 4 years ) is not declawed and we are worried about how to introduce them, without anyone getting scratched and how to make things go VERY smoothly. when the time comes, I plan on clipping his nails as short as I can, and have considered soft-paws.

Any other suggestions? Bigfoot even beats up on my dog, so i'm really worried how he will be with 3 cats that can't fight back.

thanks in advance

My cat becomes very violent and has even attacked me while i am changing his litter box. I have been using a spray bottel to keep him away so i can change it. that has been working but today he almost compleatly ignored it and i was forced out of the room only to hear him still growling and hissing at me through the door. Is there a way to keep him from doing this or to not let him become so violent? He returns to normal but only after a few hours of me not being in the same room as him. please help

Beautiful flame-point Siamese, medium-length, fine fur which gets matted and tangly, almost like dreadlocks. Anyone know the cause or if there is a long-term cure other than brushing all the time? She's eight, and this just started two months ago. No recent change in diet, residence, overall health. Thanks in advance!

I have 3 cats and they all have worms and were prescribed a one time pill (droncit feline) My guy will hold the cats in a towel to keep them from moving while I give them the pill...should I stick it in whole,in pieces or grind it up in water and use a syringe...which seems best to you?

There are kitty prints in the snow sometimes on my patio, and I live in a townhome subdivision, so it must be a lost kitty or somerthing, not a wild one. I have been seeing the prints now for about 2 weeks, so I put out a box turned on its side with a bowl of food in it, I have noticed that the food is being eaten, but I have yet to see the kitty! If I see him I will let him live in my garage.

Its getting really cold here, I live outside of Chicago, its been like anywhere from 20 to 7 degrees, and I was wondering if the kitty will survive out there when it gets this cold. Do you think he will be able to live out there that cold?

I found two lumps in my cat's breast tissue one on either side of each other. They are about 2-3 cm in size. Of course, I fear mammary cancer which has a high morbidity rate. We took her to the vet this morning, and we are in a wait and see phase now. Anyone have kitties with positive outcomes of mammary cancer or mammary lumps? I guess im grasping at straws. Thanks!

My little boy kitty hasnt had any issues about spraying or peeing anywhere, but he may not be quite old enough for all that yet...I love his personality, he is so snuggly and cuddly, and loveable, and hes just absolutely perfect.

I am afraid to get him neutered because i dont want his personality to change...will it?

I dont have to worry about him mating or anything, he is an indoor cat, and my other girl kitty is spayed. They never go outside, so it isn't of importance, other than the vet said it being standard procedure...

Will he change his sweet behavior at all? my girl cat did when i had her spayed, any info would be great, thanks!!

About 9 years ago my cat broke its back leg in two places and had a steel plate screwed in to help it heal. It is now limping badly and has a large groath on that leg. He does not seem to be in pain. It this due to artheritis? My vet said not to worry if it is not in distress.

I just got a new cat, she's about 4 months old. She still spends all day hiding under furniture, and shes only active at night- every time she sees someone, she'll run and hide.
I can pet her fine, under furniture, that is- she purrs and absolutely loves to be touched. She's really happy and sweet when touched.

What are some good things I can do to break the ice, to help her trust me and be open and less afraid?
