I found two lumps in my cat's breast tissue one on either side of each other. They are about 2-3 cm in size. Of course, I fear mammary cancer which has a high morbidity rate. We took her to the vet this morning, and we are in a wait and see phase now. Anyone have kitties with positive outcomes of mammary cancer or mammary lumps? I guess im grasping at straws. Thanks!

I had a cat and it had mammary cancer. IT was 4 when it had it and she made it through. Iwas very thankful for the 15 years we spend together until she passed of old age about a month ago. I hope yours has a positive outcome.

PS hope this helps your feelings and it is really true.

I had a cat for almost 13 years. She didn't really have any lumps, but would leak on me once or twice and I didn't know where it was coming from. I never thought about it at the time since it didn't happen but once or twice. My shirt would be wet in a small round area on my side where I was carrying her. She liked to be carried on my side by my hip, not in my arms. She eventually lost a lot of weight and started smelling and her back legs swelled up. The vet thought she had mammary gland cancer, but she was so bad, I just put her to sleep. She didn't live with me at the time. I just came home when they told me she was swelling. I will say prayers Your kitty does not have it. Hugs to you.

my senior cat survived breast surgery last March but we just had to put her down this wk of old age and possible colon cancer. we had her for 13 years, rescued her from the pound, she estimated to be 16-18 years old. best of luck.
