My cat (male) recently had his ears 'round out', (for lack of a better description), whereas before they were pointy, at the ends and then two days ago the hair on the tips turned white (he is black). He is only 2 years old and I have no idea why this happened... any clue???

Sounds like he could have been in a fight and had ear injury and hair loss. It is very common for black animals to have pulled out hair to grow back as white. Hair often grows back white over scars, which could also explain the change in shape.
Cat fights can cause spread of many infectious diseases for cats. Please be careful, make sure he is vaccinated and if at all possible, get him neutered. This will help reduce cat fights. Keeping him inside would also be a good idea to keep him safe.

i does not use olive oil through fact it incredibly is a heavier oil. you may purchase an undemanding, affordable ear mite drops at any puppy shop (possibly $5 or much less). shop on with the equipment instructions yet incredibly it incredibly is a easy oily purifier and generally you merely placed some drops in the opening of the cats ear and then swab it gently with merely a dash bathroom paper or a cotton ball. you do not decide to apply Q-information through fact the cat's are rapid and you does not decide to by threat reason inner ear harm by poking the ear. you would be conscious once you swab the ear which you will get a residue on your swab - in all threat blackish, or brownish yellow in colour. it fairly is the ear mites and larvae. Swab the section as sparkling as you are able to. do not difficulty approximately what you are able to omit through fact the oil is a service and could kill the mites out. you will repeat the approach on a daily basis (in all threat, examine the educational) till the swab comes sparkling and then repeat weekly to maintain them from coming back. Your cats will love this by the way. the 1st drop will cause them to wince yet they immediately sense releif and quiet down as quickly as the purifier makes touch with their pores and skin. If the cats are sufficiently previous (8 weeks), or once you are able to take care of to pay for it, there is likewise a month-to-month ear mite treatment it incredibly is likewise very decrease priced and over the counter at maximum puppy shops. it incredibly is a one time drop which you employ on a month-to-month foundation.

Is it cold there? It sounds like he may have had frostbite on his ears or some other infection that damaged the edges. Otherwise, I've never heard of this sort of thing. You may want to ask a vet.
