Thank you all for the advice and for the correction.

I asked since we recently had our female cat spayed (about 1 1/2 months ago)

Her nipples are getting bigger and she has become moody and her body is getting larger. Her stomach is also getting 'harder' and she dosn't appreciate me touching her body.

The vet at the time coudn't tell since if she was it would have been to early to tell.

Thank you

The same symtoms I had when she was pregnant last time.

I can't live through another pregnancy/ kittens.

It was stressful enough the last two times she had kittens.

Female cats are spayed, not neutered. And no she's not fertile. When they spay, the remove the ovaries and uterus. Impossible to be fertile without those.

Well, lets clear away some terminology for you first.
Female cats and dogs are spayed and male cats and dogs are neutered.
When a female cat or dog is spayed, the surgeon (is supposed to) remove the entire uterus and both ovaries, leaving her vagina. She may have been "in heat" at the time of the surgery, or even pregnant, but once her reproductive organs are removed, her heat cycle stops.
When a male cat or dog is neutered, or castrated, the surgeon removes both testicles. He can no longer make sperm, so he is not able to reproduce.
I hope this helps you!

No its impossible! Where would her kittens be?

The Vet removes the Uterus in the operation which is 'Spaying'
The operation is the Animal equivalent of a Hysterectomy in Women.
Neutering is what they do to a male! They remove the Testes (balls) which neutralises the sex hormones!

Everyone is right about fertility - no chance of that.
However, the term neutering is correct - it is applied to both males and females. Spaying is females, castration is males. Hope that clears things up.

NO, when your cat was spayed, its a total ovario-hysterectomy, which means that the ovaries as well as the uterus was removed. So there is no chance that she can still be pregnant.

If your cat was conceived before the spaying it is possible that she may well be pregnant. This can also happen to women, who go for the Sterilisation, if the eggs are fertilised before they sever the ovary tubes, the fertilised egg go on to the womb, so yes it can happen to animals as well. hope this is of assistance to you.
unless full ovarian hysterectomy was done. then no.

the term "spayed" stands for oviohysterectomy (sp?). If I remember correctly, pretty much the entire reproductuve system is removed. Was she pregnant when she had the surgery done?

no she wont be 'physically' pregnant but she may be 'psychologically' pregnant, by the way female dogs/cats are spayed, male dogs/cats are castrated, BOTH sexes are neutered-if you show a neuter at dog shows and you have informed the kennel club (UK) it states (neut) after the dog's kennel name, whether it is male OR female.

No, they can not still get pregnant. They may still show spells of being in heat. This will cause the nipples to swell.
